mine only cools the bottom . my f150 does both back and bottom

After I followed this thread for a while, I decided to check mine out for an extended period of time. I can report that mine do Not cool the back of the seat at all. Just the bottom cools.

I have not, because I am still not convinced that there is anything wrong with it. Too many conflicting reports here.

Many reports that the seatbacks cool, like mine. That's normal. Many reports that seatbacks don't cool. That's abnormal and needs to be repaired. One report above of a guy's dealer ordering new seatbacks so that the coolers will work. There's your answer.

Check the warranty subsection. Ford rep confirmed only cools bottom and very lower back/lumbar that's it. Nothing is broken.

Unfortunately they are not very good in hot weather- they just don't keep up and cool. I would have went leather Recaros had I known.

Mine cool the butt and back. When I was test driving the car I thought "cooled seats, wtf?" ...never had that feature before and the few times I had heated seats I hardly ever used them. Well, it's only May and with the black leather I gotta say I love the cooled seats! Especially after I leave the gym, even though I've showered I'm still hot and the cooled seats feel amazing!

I just wanted to let you all know I took my car in because the passenger seat didn't cool from the day I got it... Turns out they installed the wrong seat cushion at the factory!!!!!

It sounds like that is what happened to mine as well. They ordered new seat back cushions for mine no questions asked.
