Under glow? Cool or not. I think it looks cool, but would feel like a douche if I actually drove around that way. What are some things you guys think are a cool idea/looking but would never roll around like that.

Not cool. It's for ricers and the Fast and Furious crowd.

Thought about filling in the tire lettering on my Firehawks, but I think it might be too much.

See the tire thing is for the motorcycle and lifted truck crowd. I see that all the time here in Ohio. We have a healthy mix of every thing from rednecks to hood rats to chola’s and everything in between. Seeing each group fit into the stereo type is kinda funny

I have a few light strips under the car that I use for show. I rarely drive around with them on. The light strips are mounted on the jacking rails on each side of the car and under the hood going across the strut tower brace. The setup gets lots of compliments.

Under vehicle Neons went out in the late 80’s early 90’s... also, some States have regulations regarding mounting of auxiliary lighting and some even have restrictions as to what colors cannot be used.

Underglow...haha. I guess there's a trend of now of lifted bro trucks and mall crawlers installing under-glow to illuminate all of their dank body lifts and polished differential covers.

Yeah the truck guys around here love em. And the cycle guys love lighting their bikes up. It looks less douchy on the bikes though

I like em for shows but not really into seeing them on while on the road. I love the way it looks on the lifted trucks with painted/polished everything under the frame.

If they have interior lights and everything syncs up too, that's a really well done job.

It's not about what is done, it's about why someone does it. Anything deliberately done to get attention, or trying to be "cool", is lame.

Big ass spoiler? If you're gonna run the Nurburgring, and it has actual aero benefit, have at it. If it's to impress people, that's ghey. "Stancing" your car? It serves no mechanical purpose, so it's lame. Scoops/slats/etc.? If it cools the mechanicals better, and you actually need that cooling, that's fine. If it doesn't actually function........

I personally don't have them, but know plenty of people that do for shows and pictures. I used to stereotype them as ricers back in the day, but now the guys I know that have them could beat 90% of the cars on the street. It's all personal opinion... if you like them throw them on. Remember, the ones that usually talk down on your car or what mods you have are the people with an intake, lowering springs, and adjustable sway bars that "think" their car is fast.

I have *considered* underhood lights for the engine bay, just for car shows. Not the kind you'd see glowing while going down the road, just to highlight the engine itself.

Surprisingly, my wife is a great rice detector. That may be because she has no dog in the hunt and just expresses her her real opinion on things. So... I always get her input on aesthetic mods, and she's usually on point.
