We, Antigravity Batteries just developed and came out with a cool new product that allows you to KNOW the Voltage of you Car, and have that information sent directly to you phone.

The product is called the Battery Tracker. Its a Bluetooth device that sends real-time and historical battery voltage data directly to your phone... no need to be in the car or have a Multi-Meter. If you walk within 30 ft of the Car the data is sent to the Battery Tracker App you put on your phone. It will also alert you if the Voltage is getting low and your car needs a charge.

And if you review you historical data while the car is in storage then you can see how fast you car drains during storage and get and idea of how long you can let it sit before it needs to be put on the charger. Last it also has a Cranking Test and an Alternator Test... We make them for Lead/Acid Batteries as well as our Lithium-Ion Batteries...but they can work on Motorcycles, RVs or any 12v systems to track your batteries health. You can track up to 5 Batteries on one Phone so it great is you have multiple cars. The Video explains a little more...

What’s the point? You change a battery after several years. I don’t see a point to constantly monitor or have an app myself

I kinda like the idea. My '18 is not a daily driver for me, and it's typically a "fair-weather" ride (there...I said it). I wouldn't mind having an app that monitors my battery voltage. I wish I had one for my HD Fatboy that I forgot to put a battery tender on. Went to start it up...completely dead battery. No recharging that thing. Had to buy a new battery...lesson learned. Although, I suppose I could put the GT on a battery tender as well...

At first I thought this was a completely unneeded product, then I remembered that my "toy" car (now the '19 GT) sits through much of the winter and could use an occasional battery charge.

However, when the device costs more than a battery tender why wouldn't I just connect the tender instead of buying the monitor and putting an app on my phone *and* connecting the tender when the battery gets low?

Good point boB. Also what if your battery dies cause it is constantly sending data to your battery app? (lol) Still need a tender.....

I understand In your circumstance there may not be a point, maybe you have one car and its a daily driver so the battery gets charged each day. You don't have to worry about anything.

But there is actually a MANY points to having this type of device...

1- Maybe you have a second car that doesn't get driven alot, maybe you have a Harley or Motorcycle in your garage that doesn't get driven, or a Boat, or RV. None of these vehicle may get driven only once a month or two. With the Battery Tracker you don't ever even have to check the voltages, they get sent to you in the App. So you can have 5 cars or other vehicles on one app and monitor them and be warned if any of the battery are getting low.

2- There are alot of guys who put extra accessories on thier cars... Big Stereos, Radar Detectors, Cameras etc... these create parasitic drains on the battery, some of these vehicle aren't daily drivers so those devices can drain the battery relatively quickly sometimes. This device will actually show you how fast the battery is draining in a graphical format, and will do it over 31 days. So if you want to see if a new device, or any devices that you put on the car is over-discharging the battery quickly then you can see that on the graph.

3- Say you just a gear head like most the GT350 guys are.... say they are monitoring voltage in the Car... so they can just pull up the app and get real-time voltage without having to have a separate Multi-Meter to be checking the voltage at the battery when doing a Tune.

4- Say you want to know what your Alternator is charging the battery at when you driving around town... well this will give you the real time voltage and store it historically.

5- Say you want to know if anybody was driving your car while you were out of town....like you teenage son.... well if you look at the History graph you can see when they started the car, what exact time they were driving, how long (time) they drove for because the graph of voltage will show the start attempt, and the raised voltage while driving.

6- Say you have an RV or Tractor that sits for a long time before being used again. This will warn you and send you the status of the battery so you know to put the batteries on the chargers before they go dead.

7 Say you want to know what your Alternator is charging at.... show that in real time or historically over 31 days...

8- Say you accidentally left your lights on or something and you didn't realize it... when when it gets to a certain voltage the Battery Tracker will send you a warning. So you now didn't come back to a dead battery.

9- Say your a Race Car driver using a Total loss system in the CAr.... you want to monitor your batteries voltage for that application. Excellent for that.

Anyway.... ton of uses, above and more for Mechanics or Fleet managers.... But maybe not for everyone.

Well I don't want to argue about Batteries or keeping them charged but it best not to keep a battery on a Tender full time over a few months... it cycles the battery way too much, and will decrease the lifespan. Also if you buying the $30 dollar battery tender I would recommend a better quality charger and brand. I expressed above there are many reasons to use the product if you live a certain way. It not only about an Automotive use. I personally have 6 vehicles at my house because we have tradeshow vehicles personal vehicles and such. It awesome for that. We rarely drive the UTV, some of the bikes. I dont' want to go and check the voltages... and we know not to leave them on chargers, not good for the battery.

By the way the product draw 1mah (milli-amp hour) it won't be draining anything.

Yes we have a few options for Lihtium-Ion Lightweight Batteries for the Mustang... BUT our current RE-START Battery is an H5 size... and is 3/4" higher than the T5/Group96r battery in the later model Mustangs... so for people who want to keep the battery cover on it won't fit for height but fit length and width fine. Also a lot of the GT350 guys use one of our ultra-compact YTX12-24 batteries that weigh 5 lbs. But that is for gear heads who don't mind monitoring the battery alot

Thanks for the follow up. Is the YTX capable of regular starting use? Wouldn’t mind shaving some weight off the front. The Kenne Bell isn’t exactly light.

Just checked it out, that’s a crazy amount of CA from such a small battery.

YEs it will easily start even the GT350 and such... the caveat is that the power is crazy for such a light battery BUT that also means due to it compact size it can be over-discharged easier if you left lights on , or had aftermarket accessories that draw energy even when the car is off. But if you monitor it and know your parasitic draw from your system yes it can work.

We offer some other one that are coming that have a little more Amp Hour Capacity but only weigh a few pounds more but offer the full protection of a Battery Management system so you cannot harm the battery by over discharge.

Tommorrow I'll find the thread that has a lot about the batteries and post it up. Got in sort of late tonight.
