Looks cool - I almost went Magnetic but went with the Guard because it was there and looked pretty good! Light and background are the best ways to take pics. Generally mid mornings or about and hour before sunset, the light catches the lines really well. Since I work near the Pacific, I like to take pics with the waves in the background and the paint picks up some of the blue sky. Another good background is buildings. My favorite would be this last one though LOL!

Hi Jeff - I just bought some stock 2" stripes (1" with 1/4" chaser stripes) and had the lettering made in Bitsumi by Full Intensity Graphixs. I had them do the black "2.3L Turbo" hood decals and the silver "P-51 Mustang" letterings too - John is very helpful and I cannot say enough for the outstanding customer service!

Camaro 2.0T Vert impressions

Sharing my $.02 worth on my weekend test drive of 2016 Camaro 2.0T convertible. Wasn’t shopping but wanted to compare. This is of possible interest to convertible owners or lookers, certainly not a comprehensive comparison. I have driven verts across most of my driving time. Bonneville (land yacht, a hoot), GTO, TR’s (250’s and 6’s), Porsches, Saabs, Audi, and my latest is my 6G Mustang 2.3T PP Premium.

BLUF, Mustang still tops in comparison to Camaro, but there are some nice features in the vert Camaro.

I drove the 2.0T Camaro (it’s what the dealer had), and it had pretty comparable performance to my EB. I did feel that it had a bit more turbo lag. Throat sound of Camaro is slightly better, stock to stock. Gas mileage was comparable. It does have some nice features; Remote start AND top cycle, HUD (why don’t we have one!!!), the auto-top cycles with one-touch button up to 35 mph, stows under a clam shell, but eats most of the trunk. While tight in the Mustang, rear seat leg room virtually non-existent in Camaro. The visibility is not as bad as I had heard, but it’s still pretty poor, particularly with top up. Very short rear glass. Also part of the reason is you sit relatively low in the Camaro, feel like you are in a turret, particularly with regard to the door sills. Rest your arm on the sill and you look like a 6-year old again, trying to look cool in your dad’s car.

Styling (IMHO) goes hands down to the 6G Mustang. The Camaro is a good looking car, but doesn’t turn heads like the Mustang, and it never will!
