it's quieter for sure than the old Borla-S-Type on the last gen, and louder than the GT500 axlebacks on the last gen.

It to me seems like the perfect loudness for a convertible. If it were a fastback I might tolerate a little more noise, but I'm actually happy with it. Being that I have a factory x-pipe I'm tempted to experiment with an H-pipe or even no crossover at all for a different tone.

Most people might frown on having no crossover, but it certainly does give it a very old school sound.

^I love the hood and the center fogs
Thanks man. Getting the right fog replaced because of condensation, but agreed! Lol.

I agree the Diva car looks great, and as a bonus it doesn't blend in with all the other common looks.

Diva those wheels are old school style, but somehow it works on the S550! Thanks for doing something unique. Also thanks a lot for increasing my parts wish list. My wife is going to hate me...

Is there any other wind deflector model using bmw's style mounting?

I don't like permanent straps and this kind of staff.

It woudn't be so difficult to drill a hole only for the rear mounts. The fronts are OK using the belt's tunnel hole.

heh, i was that idiot too. Then I went home and immediately put in my wind deflector. It was nice as hell to drive @ 75mph with absolutely no wind blowing around.

for me though, today was the first time I had the top down. My better half snapped this picture while at a stop light after leaving Cars & Coffee. We took both cars. I love having two enthusiast cars. :-D

The Bosses of the Convertible Thread

I guess it is now plain for all to see Danielle and Wesley are the Bosses of the thread. For their dedication to open car driving and their willingness to share with all, especially those who think it's too cold to "drop the top". They have let us all know that is not something that bothers them. I think they deserve our respect. They certainly have mine. It's easy for me when I have 50 to 70 degree days in January to drop, but it takes commitment to drop at 40 or less, and when driving past snow drifts taller than the car. You two have got it going on.:headbang: :hail:
