Grabber blue is awesome. Mine is a 22 premium with active exhaust magneride 10 auto. Amazing car...Turns out the one i am looking at doesn't have active exhaust...Theres a grabber blue closer to me, I'm going to have a look at.
Grabber Blue is a really cool color. And active exhaust was a must have for me as wellIt's essential. 100%.
The active exhaust was literally the first thing that attracted me to the Mustang when I first started thinking about buying one. I loved the idea of dialing in the exhaust note and no way I would have bought one without it. I can't believe they even sell the car without it.Well that stinks. Personally, I love the active exhaust and would be a necessary option for me.
The 1LE is significantly superior corner carver - as much as a car can be, vis-a-vis properly fettled motorcycle. I've dumped $5000+ into the GT to get it to on-par with 1LE which makes the 1LE an even more tremendous bargain. That said, daily livibility with the 1LE had certain annoyances so I wasn't as 'chillax' as when driving the Mustang.i see you have a GT PP and a 1LE. I had a 15 1LE and I miss it desperately. Which do you like better?
I made the switch to a Mustang from a 6th gen Camaro, which is very similar to the 5th gen, as I understand it.Hi all:
I currently drive a 2012 Camaro SS Convertible. Its a Tom Henry Racing edition 6 speed. It's fun but its big fat and heavy and I don't drive it much. I am considering trading it on a 2022 GT Premium. The deal is pretty good. I just can't decide if I want to give up the drop top. The Coupe is a 401 A car with leather and a stick. Looks like a lot of fun.
Anyone make the switch from a 5th gen camaro to a S550?
Ive had both a 5th and 6th gen. the 6th gen is way tighter than the 5th. my current car is a 5th 2SS. I previously had a 2SS 1LE a few years ago, and they are light years apart.I made the switch to a Mustang from a 6th gen Camaro, which is very similar to the 5th gen, as I understand it.
The Mustang is better ergonomically, but the Camaro drove WAY better. The Mustang's suspension and engine mounts are way too soft, causing it to feel a bit floppy and agricultural in comparison. I'm happy with my purchase in the sense that my S/O likes the Mustang a lot better, which means that it will get used a lot more, but if you're in this for the driving experience, I'm not sure you'll think the Mustang is an upgrade.
Can you test drive the car in question, and see if you like it? That's really what matters, particularly if this isn't going to be a daily driver, where you NEED to drive it.
Edit: My Camaro was a 2021 1SS non-1LE. The 1LE matters, but even the base suspension is better than the Mustang's. I'm not sure about how the Performance Pack or MRC on the Mustang changes the game. I've read it's still kinda floppy, but never actually driven one.
The PP1 damping is totally crap as well. Ford clearly doesnt consider the mustang to be a performance vehicle. It's a highway car at best. It's not near as bad as a Challenger but that's hardly a standard to aspire toAnyone else share the opinion that the non-PP GT is too soft?
As someone who has had a challenger scat pack, that boat rollllllledThe PP1 damping is totally crap as well. Ford clearly doesnt consider the mustang to be a performance vehicle. It's a highway car at best. It's not near as bad as a Challenger but that's hardly a standard to aspire to
I just cant decide if i want to give up the drop top. But i dont see me taking my kids in it more than short ice cream runs at 30mph with the top downThe PP1 damping is totally crap as well. the lowly civic is a better handling car from the factory.
It's all fixable with money, thankfully.
That's all very true. And meant to be. They're GTs. Grand Touring Coupes. Not meant to be sports cars at all.The PP1 damping is totally crap as well.
