Well boys! It's FINALLY shipped. It took almost 4 weeks but it's on the way!

@TrackMustang did your air vent show up in gloss black or did you have to have that painted as well? They are drop shipping to my bodyshop so I'll have to take the car in next week (or the week after) and discuss paint matching and what I want done.

Looks like this will arrive before my GT500 spoiler (from Steeda.ca) so Phase 2 will be a Phase 2(a) and Phase 2(b) LOL then comes Phase 3.
That’s awesome, glad to hear it!!! The vent and rain tray are both black plastic. I had the vent painted gloss black and didn’t paint the rain tray (I don’t use it).

Yeah that is what a guy said in another thread. I'll tell the bodyshop to gloss black it as it will then match the GT500 spoiler that is coming that is also gloss black.

I'll be using the rain tray as I daily the car and don't track it. I don't mind if it cools the engine bay as much as stock hood does. In fact that works fine LOL I want to be able to take the car to a touchless wash and not have a panic attack when inside!

Got my car back from the painter, new hood looks great and got my new rims installed. Completely transformed the look of my car.

Brembos and sway bar/springs/dampers are next!

What are you using for your tail lights? I want smoked tails, but my tint guy who's great won't do it.

$400-$600 for drop ins is thought to take too

I did mine from American Muscle. I think it was like $70.00. They aren't PERFECT (there is a hairline gap at the top of each of the 6 covers) but until I convince myself to spring for the $600.00 drop ins from S550 then it is what it is. Took me 15-20 minutes.

Yeah, if that’s the case I’d use the rain tray as well. Ford has something in the world that says the tray doesn’t actually effect cooling of the engine at all, but they recommend removing it for track because it effects aerodynamics… weird right?

Nawww I get it. They recommend it be removed on track days because it causes a positive pressure system under the hood; restricting airflow and causing the under hood real estate to act more like a wind sail.

With it removed you increase the passthrough airflow and reduce drag.

Yes, definitely going to be using it!

Nope, running no liner at the moment
Wonder if the stock liner will fit. Once it arrives (and Vicrez said today they would follow up with Pilot Freight) I may see if the bodyshop will order me one from Ford.

The windshield wiper tube doesn’t have the correct holes to mount like it did factory, so the liner may have difficulties as well…?

Not sure what you mean by not having the right holes. Mine went in/on totally fine and installed new rubber air seal pieces that go over the headlights on the hood as well.
