I've got my GT500 spoiler ordered today from Steeda here in Canada; boo they are back-ordered to probably the end of April. I also just pulled the trigger on the GT500 hood from VIcrez. We will see how long that takes to get here.

The credit card is melting, it's meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelting!

Woof!!!! 500 for shipping to Canada for a 25lb hood? Uncle Justin has to get his pound of flesh but according to Vicrez's website, there are "No at door delivery charges" so that is good. I'll assume that the $500 covers the duty tax to bring across border.

Should one get nervous when the body shop says " I would need to see the car beforehand and get the best colour match that we can before painting the hood. There is always a very likely possibility that the fenders, A-pillars and top of the bumper may not match exactly when painting a new hood. So, that would be something we would need to talk about and decide on a colour match if you're wanting to move forward with this."

That is what the rain tray is for.

Some guys have figured out ways to make it hot-swappable. I will most likely just have mine permanently mounted if I can't do the hot-swappable method as I don't track the car.

How did you fix the fake quick release spots? What are you planning on putting in place of it? I ordered the hood today and the bodyshop may have questions.

Drilled out the holes and fastened the underside barrels..not using the pins!! all asthetic!!

strictly aesthetic…I drilled out the hood holes but did not use the bolts!!

Are those the quick-latch ones?

they are quick latch ones but I dont think his hood is a vicrez. The hood doesnt have indents for the hood pins like the vicrez and has some different curves.

My hood is Modern Concepts and it does indeed have the indents for the hood pins! and drilled pilot holes!! …Quick Latch yes..and spendy!

Does anyone here have the Vicrez hood with those faux quick-release latches? I suppose the body shop could put them on for me (either the faux ones or real ones).

Thoughts? I'll need to go back through this thread when I get home today.

The faux latches are just held on with a double sided adhesive that comes with the hood.

Well boys! It's FINALLY shipped. It took almost 4 weeks but it's on the way!

@TrackMustang did your air vent show up in gloss black or did you have to have that painted as well? They are drop shipping to my bodyshop so I'll have to take the car in next week (or the week after) and discuss paint matching and what I want done.

Looks like this will arrive before my GT500 spoiler (from Steeda.ca) so Phase 2 will be a Phase 2(a) and Phase 2(b) LOL then comes Phase 3.
