- comp s3 cams
- OPG
- Crank gear
- springs
- secondary chains
- chain guides
- port/polish on the heads and intake mani.

Eventually, I'll get a short block, and really get crazy with it.

That thing's going to fly. Going with the monoblade or twin 65mm?

Rev auto makes a very nice CAI for the 11-14 CJ swaps. It would probably work on the 15 too. It looks great, and it's a 5" with extremely smooth taper to the oval.

The power gains from a 4.5 to a 5 is how much? Also do they sell a heat shield for the 15s applications ?

Probably not a whole lot, but when you're throwing cams and valve train in, trying to squeeze out every last bit up top is something to think about. With head work and cams, it's probably more beneficial than just a bolt-on car. Besides, I'm not trying to one up anyone, that's just the CAI I was planning to use on my 2013 before I sold it. Just laying out all the options.

No heat shield.

Actually, a quick search showed a few with and without heat shields. Owners may have built them on their own. Here are a few pictures for you.

I understand. That's why I looked up some pictures to confirm if I remembered correctly. There are several guys running heat shields on them.

I was pretty gung ho about cams, but now I'm leery of power gains and possible set backs. After going to PRI the last couple of days I will do some more thinking. Ford Racing is going to have cnc'd GT350 heads & valve train, including GT350 cams, but with our firing order. And at some point I need to upgrade the rods, but I'll probably go into next year with less weight and less rolling resistance through a good alignment and 15" DRs so I can come out harder. And the other stuff later.
I asked a lot of questions about the GT350 heads. I didn't get much information as they were pretty tight lipped about them. lol They wouldn't tell me flow figures, port volumes, port cross section, valve sizes or anything. haha They only said they flow more than the cnc Boss heads and need specific designed cams as they use a larger diameter areas where the cam mounts to the heads. But he said the heads need a high lift cam to take advantage of the heads. But limited to about .550" lift.

I think having the stock heads ported and cams to match will be cheaper then converting. Those GT350 heads are like $4400. You can get the JPC/RGR porting done for that. Those flow 327 cfm at .500" lift. I doubt the GT350 heads do that. Other shops have options as well. Not saying that is ideal for you but something to think about.

The stock hood will clear with no trimming when using the UPR adjustable mounts. That's what I have on mine.
Did you notice any vibration with those mounts?

Rev Auto tested our home made 4.5" cold air kit versus their 5" on a buddies 2013 GT that had cams. The 5" made slightly more power. Probably with-in the variations you might normally see run to run. But he said the drivability wasn't as good. He ran the 4.5" inlet until he put a Vortech on the car.

I'll give you that. The low speed drivability tune has to be spot on, and even then, it's touchy when trying to crawl through a parking lot. Some tuners say they "have it down", but anything with that large of an inlet and a huge throttle body is going to be a little finicky in some situations. It works great at cruise speeds and WOT though.

You're going to love it, man. Good luck with the build!

My 2011 M6 car drove as well as it did with the CJ mono blade and 4.5" inlet than it did with the stock intake, tb and Airaid intake. I was very impressed on how well it drove with that big inlet and throttle body. I would gladly let go of 5hp to have it drive as good as it did. I hope my 2015 is the same way once all dialed in.

I made 456whp on my 15 5.0 with cobra jet, long tubes and e85. Dyno conditions were terrible, a cooler day I'm sure it can make 465+ whp. So far happy with the results and ken Bjonnes tune is on the spot
Do you get a slight rpm hang when shifting?
