I'm a little disappointed. 118mph is not what I was expecting. I was hoping for 122-124mph trap speed. Perhaps they were not able to tune the manifold to its full potential limited by knowledge and time.

122-124 would be nearly 575 hp...

OP, what was your trap speed before the CJ setup?

I would think you are missing some of the benefits/power of that manifold only spinning it to 7500, but I'm not Lund.

11-14 CJ owner here spinning mine to 7950 and the power is still on its way up at the limiter. The newer Coyote is better suited for the high rpm, REV that sucker!

Nice build either way and solid times in that DA.

Dissappointed.... My 2014 with just Cat delete, $50 BBR can tune and DR was going 12.3@117 2.0-2.1 60' Stock converter. I figured this would trap higher.

What was your DA? it greatly effects things. He also said he didn't stage well or launch well. The MPH I bet will settle around 121-123 for him once hes dialed in and launching better.

Absolutely, air density day to day at the same track will throw your E.T. off by 2-3 tenths and you'd never know why unless you checked the DA with the weather people.

I could see with a 1.4 60' and the right D.A. this car would haul into the high 10's. May need to shave some weight. I've never drag raced an Auto so not sure how staging impacts the launch. . .

On SVTP I posted all the info on my CJ swap as it was early on in their release. Everyone claimed how number seemed low on the dyno. Didn't bother me as I knew we were finishing the tune after a few passes at the track. Then the first two outings did not go well. The car went slower than the best ET of 11.44 @ 116 with the stock intake. A couple more times out playing with launch techniques and different shift points I ended up with an 11.27 @ 120 in a heavy car. Then people said the mph was low. Really?! They said they cars trapped higher. But when I asked about their ET it was always much slower. They were spinning and showing more mph than me. I will take a better ET than mph ANY day of the week. Bottom line is keep at it. Make changes and see what improves ET. But most of all have fun with the car.

RBS550, Nice progress and updates. I am sure you will get more out of the car. The cool fall air should help that DA as well. Just keep at it! I wish you the best of luck.

Every Mustang maps I have seen, 11-14 GT, 2012-13 Boss, and N/A Cobra Jet maps all point to the Mustang engines loving valve overlap throughout the entire rpm band. The 2015 Mustang engine does not like valve overlap at peak power but it does at peak torque. The 2015 retards the intake cam severely after peak torque. There are quite a few engine differences between the 11-14 and the 2015 engine, however, there isn't much between the Boss and the CJ from the 2015 engine, except one big key factor, intake manifold. I hope whenever the tunes are done for 2015 intake manifold swaps that valve overlap is explored thoroughly, rather than assuming that because it didn't like it with the stock manifold, that it won't like it with a better one. Tuners will NOT go into in depth in conversations on tuning this, not sure why.

Probablly 2000+ I will look for the slip but it was June-July in Central Texas.
I WAS not spinning either so thats not why my MPH was high. I was on 295/55/15 MTs I would bog if anything.

the manifold just went on the car, these cars don't shift on rpm and mph like previous years, so you have to creep up on the shift points

I don't have time right now to read all the comments (I'm at work), but maybe this will help. I have 3.73s, I'm shifting at about the 1,000' into 4th, this is definitely hurting the performance, I need to go back to where I can stay in 3rd till the end 3.31s maybe. Second I have video where you can see my launches are slow and easy, not aggressive at all. The video should be up soon.
