RBS550 on the road heading for Beef Cake Lund dyno tune:thumbsup: I know he would rather be driving his Stang instead of towing, it should be back on the road tomorrow and at the track this weekend if everything goes good:amen:

Really curious to see what happens with low end torque. One of the disadvantages of the Boss 302 intake manifold was that the short runners usually gave you top end power at the cost of low end torque. The cobra jet manifold was supposed to fix that, but I believe it's only been verified on the original coyote so far.

Also curious to see whether the top end of the HP curve remains linear, or plateaus off. It'll be a great indicator of how well designed the stock headers are.

Just FYI Rev Auto did this on their Facebook and posted it yesterday; dynoed a CJ on a 2015. https://www.facebook.com/Revolution-Automotive-150497078319630/timeline/

Unfortunately they did it kind of wrong to show anything conclusive and dynod bone stock to full modded (with headers & tune); not just with the CJ added, but they said the CJ makes 10-20hp on the 2015.

Pretty big bill at $2,000 (CJ, throttle body, and CAI for it; also lower motor mounts to clear the stock hood) for 10-20hp.

Personally, Id skip the $2k CJ and $1-2k headers (closer to 2k with install) and go forced induction. $4k is almost all f the way there. Lot more hp for the money.

Theirs was an auto car and I believe they used a twin port TB instead of the one large single. If anyone can get more power it will be Lund racing

That's the same old debate with the CJ or Boss over the stock IM. PEAK power doesn't change that much, but AVERAGE power increases a lot, as well as power band. Anything above 5000RPM is going to be stronger than stock, and much stronger from 6500-8000RPM. If you're looking for horsepower per dollar, NA is never the way to go. Many people, including myself, prefer NA power though.

Well there's a big difference between the boss at $500 you can slap on in an hour or 2, and the CJ at $2k (since you need to lower the motor too) which is a much bigger price tag and undertaking.

$500 would be worth a go, $2,000 is harder to swallow. Especially for daily drivers where 6,500-8k RPMs is a rare occurrence.

That's why I did a ported Boss and Accufab. If you're trying to get every last bit of NA power, it's just not cheap. The CJ is the best IM for maximum NA power, you just have to decide whether or not it's worth 10+/- more horsepower over a ported Boss and Accufab for $1000 more.

Id be interested to see the CJ vs Boss back to back dynod on a 2015 to see if there really is a noticeable difference. So far lot of speculation.

The CJ isn't as impressive as it was on the 11-14s, so the Boss may be a better buy for the 15s ad 1/4 the cost.

Ported Boss and Accufab versus ported CJ and SCJ combo with a good tune is only about a 10hp difference across the board on the 11-14. Back to back pulls on the dyno literally look like the CJ line was copied and pasted slightly above the Boss line. I'm sure that the 15 would pretty much show the same results.

If you are wondering if either of these is better for you than the stock IM, I say that with 3.73 gears, you'll love the shift in power to higher RPM. I can't personally speak for the higher geared cars.

Nataphen has it right... 3.73 drivers will be deep into power with a lot of rpm still to go when they reach 60 mph in second gear on the new cj/boss rev range, as opposed to stock rev range where you are having to shift a gear around that point and are already coming out of max power curve.
