I bought my 15 gt recently used from a dealer. I noticed since the first drive that I can’t slip the clutch, I have to pretty much dump it or else it’ll shudder and buck before it engages. I’m pretty sure it has some aftermarket clutch, probably for a lot more horsepower than I’m making. I’m curious if others with high performance clutches have this issue and is it normal. Either way it’ll get swapped out one day as it’s pretty annoying when you’re stuck in traffic and look like an idiot who can’t drive stick.

Also, when I let the clutch out and give it a lot of gas in first, a split second after it’ll feel like it’s misfiring for a second then return to normal. I haven’t datalogged since I lent my elm327 to a buddy but I have checked for codes and it’s not throwing any.

Have you tried a crank relearn. I had to do one after a clutch install.

No but that did cross my mind after I posted. I’ll get a new spring while I’m at it. What does a crank relearn do? I’ve heard about it and knew about doing one after a clutch install but never looked into it.

I did a kam reset and a crank relearn this morning. The problem seems to be 99% gone but slipping the clutch slowly like when reversing, it’ll still buck but not as bad as before.

So I pulled the plug next to the intake to see how it would react. It was almost gone. I’m thinking a lot of the issue is the traction control and maybe the clutch. I haven’t owned the car for long but there is a McLeod sticker under the hood so I’m thinking it has a McLeod clutch. Maybe a dual friction? It clunks after changing gears and letting off the clutch. It just doesn’t like to be slipped.
