Thanks again to you both.
Mine feels more that there is slack somewhere in the driveline. One thing I noticed is when I turn quickly (dont touch brakes during corner) it’ll downshift. However when I get back on the power after the downshift I get the clunk and small jerk as if something is trying to match the new RPMs. I get this on my F150 too, but it’s very slight and basically not noticeable unless you’re looking for it. Or, go on power, coasting and letting the engine start to brake, then getting back on power, I’ll normally get the clunk. If I get on the power very very slowly after downshifts or turns, I can sometimes avoid the clunk but not exactly sure what changes.

Basically, it just feels like after turns, changes in engine RPM are causing something to not be completely matched with the speed of the engine. It’ll do a little rev (maybe around 200rpm) and I’ll get the clunk and jerk, and it’ll start going as normal again. This is how it’s been so far, at 300 miles now so hopefully it improves.
I have experienced some of what you're saying at times when getting back on the throttle after coasting etc, however, I have not noticed it so much on turns.

I did forget to mention that I had noticed last year, so far not this year yet that my RPMs will bounce when I'm in 10th gear with cruise set. Usually anywhere between 65-73 mph with cruise set the RPMs will randomly bounce and constantly about 150-200 RPMs. Extremely irritating when it was happening last year. If I manually force it to 9th gear with the paddles it doesn't happen at all in 9th gear at any speed and only 10th.

Just took it out in sport mode for the first time, literally feels like I've been rear ended during those shifts.
I had this same thing in my 2019 in sport mode. All was good after I got my tune.

No more clunking in sport or track. Could be the additional miles as well but I didn't get the tune until I had 30k on the car for warranty purposes.

I got my 2023, Mustang GT, Automatic, California Special, back in early January.
The transmission whine has been present since day 1. It has stayed at the same volume. I'm now at 5600 miles. As others have said, it is more noticeable with the windows down, in park, and/or next to a retainer wall.

I have not experienced any clunking noises with the transmission. However, I did experience the rear-ending feeling for the first few thousand miles, and then it went away. It seemed to happen during the first 10 to 15 minutes of driving.

The other issue that I am still having is every now and then, when I step on the gas to accelerate, the car hesitates, jerks, and then goes. If it happens, it will occur in Normal drive mode and within the first 5 to 15 minutes of the car being on. Once it happens, it will not occur again during the same drive. The only pattern I can come up with is if anything odd will occur with the transmission, it will happen on the first drive of the day, and within 5 to 15 minutes of being on. Once I get passed the warm-up part, I don't notice anything else.

Hope this helps!

I know this jerking your having and I believe it has nothing to do with drive shaft or transmission.

is it this….
You cruising at say 60mph in 5th gear and you take your foot of the gas. When you re apply the car jerks or stutters for a second before picking up again ??

mine is a manual and I and many others have this problem too.

I believe it is more to do with the Throttle body and the ECU than any mechanical components.

When coasting and the vehicle downshifts (so far it has done this in normal/drag/mymode which I have set to sport) usually it's 7>6 and sometimes 6>5 on a coast I here a clunk noise and I can also feel it in the accelerator pedal. I have also been able to get it to consistently do this and then found out if I'm rolling slow like 2-3 mph and go from reverse to drive either way it happens 100% of the time as well. I could maybe let it go as normal doing that, but not on downshifts when I've been moving.
I have similar symptoms with my 11,000 miles 2021 Mach 1 A10, except the scope of my symptoms has grown to nearly all downshifts. The symptoms became known around gear 4 downshifts but have since grown to the upper gears as well. My local dealership has requested a full transmission replacement from Ford, but Ford has asked them to inspect the transmission inners before they consider approval.

I guess what I'm getting at is, bring your damn car in!

That's surprisingly normal for a brand new A10, unfortunately. Mine did the same thing at first. It took mine a long time, but it sorted itself out and now is as smooth as butter. Apparently, the learning process is mode-specific and takes several thousand miles to completely adapt. My suggestion is to drive gently in normal mode until it's behaving well, and then try the other modes until they're settled. I truly think that it takes very consistent, relatively gentle driving for the learning process to properly finish.

Oh, it's also good for peace of mind to have the trans fluid checked. Mine was correct from the factory, and still had VERY harsh shifts in sport+ mode at first.
