Chinese voice talking through dash

I have a weird one and hope someone can help. I have a buddy who just bought a 2017 EcoBoost this past week and he has a Chinese voice that randomly talks every few minutes, which sounds like through the touchscreen every few minutes. He called me and asked me if I had heard or experienced this in my 18 GT and I haven’t. I told him to try shutting off voice prompts and even a master reset and nothing worked. He bought it off of a Hyundai dealer so they have no clue. I told him he may have to just take it to a ford dealer. Has anyone experienced this or heard of anything like this? I told him I would post here in hopes someone could help him out. Thanks in advance.

My thought as well. There’s lots of aftermarket touch displays that are cheap imports and it may be a software bug.

Either way, that shit would freak me out.

My buddy Figured it out, Previous owner left a dash cam stuffed under the dash. Yup under the dash, makes no sense. Must of thought dash cam meant record the the dash. The thing was spitting out random Chinese phrases even after he pulled it out. Lol. Anyway problem solved.
