Inspected mine today. Found a bunch hand tight on both inner and outer sides. Little disappointed but email sent and helpfully it will get worked out.

If this is a known issue, a simple safety wire would save your ass

It shouldnt come stright from assembly like that though. It woukd be nice if dss offered up pre wired units... or drilled bolts at the very least.

Got an email response right away. They stepped up like I knew they would. Will definitely buy their products again.

DSS is a great company so no surprise they steeped up but a big thank you to Andrew z06psi for noticing this before it was a problem for anyone!

A huge thank you for posting this. I have a new set I purchased over the holiday sales that are scheduled to be installed next week and I've already spoken to Hillbank Motorsports and they are going to back out all the bolts and make sure they get the proper loctite on them before they get installed.

^^^^^ This. I have a set that has been sitting for spring. I now have time to do the fix myself.

Pulled mine apart, used red loctite and reassembled and torqued to 70. Do these ever require grease?

Just remove the wheel. Bolts on inboard and outboard are accessible.

Update. Received bolts from DSS and replaced them all.

I had a noise coming from my DSS 1400HP axles after less than 100 miles. I checked the bolts and all bolts on the passenger side axle were loose? I posted this and multiple members here basically said it was my fault for not checking the torque on the bolts when I installed them. I replaced the axle because I was concerned the internals might have been damaged from driving with the bolts loose. So far the new one is good. i think there may be a reason the factory shafts don't bolt together. I would love to see an alternative replacement axle without the bolts. Best of luck to you all.
