Here are some pictures of the 2000hp DSS axles I just received. Overkill for me at the moment, but i couldn't pass up beefcake's sale. I will likely go with a built motor in the future, so they may come in handy. These things are heavy! Almost 30lbs each. How much do the stock half shafts weigh? I guess I'll find out when I take them out. Lol.

I just unloaded a box out of my trunk with the factory axles in it and holy shit it was every bit of 50 lbs easy. I also had the 2000hp axles from beefcake installed by Finishline. I got my car back today and finally got to take it for a test run. Everything feels great as it should. So I give the 2k hp axles 2 thumbs up. I'm like you...the deal was wayyyy to good to pass up. I'll probably never need them that beefy, but hey it gives me a goal to shoot for!!

Yep, I installed mine and it was easy. One good whack with a small breaker bar wedged in between the halfshafts and center diff and they pop right out. It was a little bit of a wrestling match getting the new ones in, but I did it by myself, no issues.

I weighed one of the stock ones... 21.4 lbs. So these are basically 8 lbs heavier.
