DSS Axles unknown model

these axles came off of a gen 2 mustang. I want to put them on my gen 2 but the shafts look identical. There are no part numbers except on a coupler that shows it is a DSS shaft. DSS cannot identify the exact model but they think it is an older 1000hp model. Anyone have ideas on what they are specifically and why they look identical? Picture includes them next to a gt350 axle.

The driver side should be slightly longer if I recall correctly
