Update,

Dealership says they want to look at it but for now keep running it (I trust this dealership fyi) Mostly likely an electrical glitch.

I will dig around in the engine bay this weekend. Been to busy at work to look at it since we got home from Road america.

If anyone has anyplace to look I will gladly take your advice.

I had the P0300 code. This is a general misfire code not specific to any cylinder. Mine turned out to be a bad vacuum canister purge valve. Have you noticed any rough idling?

Not the OP, but I’ve had my purge valve replaced twice (which caused a CEL, but the CEL stayed on.). Also the pigtail connector that connects the harness to the purge valve has been replaced. The connector has a plastic stent to help straighten the wires prior to entering the connector. With mine, the electrical tape thats over the stent and connector stretched, and rubbed one of the wires raw to the point of breakage.

Not anymore than normal I guess. Car is going in next week to get sorted.

As an update, I appealed to Ford Customer Care that this is an emissions issue and should be covered by the 8/80K emissions warranty. They approved the repair on Ford’s dime.

For what it's worth, I was having the same issue with flashing check engine light and then light turns off. Last weekend it happened again, but this time the light stayed on. Dealer checked and I had the P0300 code. My dealer determined it to be a bad Mass Air Flow Sensor. Mass Air Flow Sensor | FordUS
