Im having the exact same problem you are after installing coilovers, toe arms, vertical links all at the same time. Im getting loud clunk over uneven surface and sharp bumps at low speed. Im getting alignment done tomorrow so i guess i will try loosening the bolts mentioned while its on the rack and re tourqe them.

Well apparently the shop did know about this procedure and supposedly did that after installing. So now I'm confused as to what the problem is. Hopefully I can go there next week and see. I'm fine with it as long as they fix it. I just don't want to have to go back there again. I feel like this shouldn't be that hard! I'm just frustrated.

Well the only way to be sure is to do it yourself, my car is in the process of a n/a build at my tuners shop and they're doing full suspension as well. i made them aware of this and they told me they ran into the same issues your having with a few previous customers and they are now aware of what they have to do going forward. They have had no more issues...so I'm confident when my car is done i will have no issues.

I wish I could do it myself. But I don't have the tools or the know how. I'm kindve surprised this is happening. The shop I went to has a stellar reputation (I won't say who) and they know Mustangs. But they're very busy and maybe they just didn't take the proper time or attention that it needed.

I'm having a clunk too now after the dealer installed my Ford Racing springs. They missed re-installing one of the nuts on the driver side vertical link I noticed before the clunk so who knows what else they messed up on ... seems like they rushed it to me so doubt they did the re-torquing step. 95% sure they didn't align as well.

I hate taking the car to them but sometimes you have no choice.

Well it's getting worse guys. Every time I hit a slight bump in the road I hear the clunk. Car also seems floaty now and slightly unstable.

Gee I hope they fix it for good this time around. I'm going in Friday morning. Any advice on what I should tell them to assure this doesn't happen again?

I had the floaty feeling when the dealer who installed my Ford Racing springs forgot to re-install the bottom nut on the driver side vertical link such that it was off the rod loose. You can see it yourself from behind the wheel if you lie down do see the suspension ... Google a suspension pic for our car if you want to get exact but might be worth a look.

I know with my Jeep Jk I had to do this as well with a lift. They also recommended rocking the vehicle a bit with everything loose.

Thanks guys. I will keep those tips in mind. I'm just frustrated right now and hope they can get it the way it's supposed to be. It's like you set out to make your car better, not worse! All those mods cost be about $4,500 so yeah I'm pretty annoyed. I almost could've gotten a supercharger for that money. It seems to me that this shouldn't be that hard that I need to go back a 2nd or 3rd time. Had I known these issues were likely to come up, I might have decided not to do it at all.

I'll keep you guys updated.

Check the bottom shock bolts on the rear. The "shop" I let do the install recently left 1 of them completely out and the other was loose. I heard the noise and the way home and was not going to risk driving the car back to them so I took it all apart and torqued everything myself(many bolts were not to spec). I did it for the front and rear. Had to get 2 new bottom shock bolts from local dealer.

Well they weren't able to figure it out. They heard the noise I was talking about. They went through the entire rear suspension and retorqued everything twice. I think I hear it less now. I have noticed in certain situations the car feels unsettled. For instance when I pass someone on the highway and get on the throttle, the car seems to be making a little shimmy. At times this happens over bumps as well. It just feels a little "off" it's hard to explain.

I found my clunk. I should've known to check the other vertical link after the above dealer mess-up. The nut on the top of the link wasn't on tight. I shook the sway bar up and down from under the car and heard the noise ... pin-pointed it to the loose nut and she's all good now.
