My 2017 GT PP developed a rear end clunk when in high gear or coasting in neutral and hitting small bumps. I was not sure what the issue was but after disconnecting the sway bar to see if that was it (it was not) and retorqueing every bolt in the rear end I decided to remove my Steeda Non Adjustable shocks and Steeda mounts. With the factory PP shocks and mounts no more clunk. I cannot put the Steeda mounts on the factory shocks due to the fact Steeda used a different thread pitch than factory so now the question is are the shocks bad or are the mounts? The mounts feel fine the bearing is good and tight and the shocks feel the same as they always have (I was the first or one of the very first to get these).

I did try the factory mounts with the Steeda shocks and the clunk was lessened. it is happening on both rear sides with them and I almost wonder if the GT350R springs I have in the rear are a little too much for the shocks?????????????

I doubt the springs are too much. I have very, very similar rate springs, same dampers and zero clunking here. How are you tightening the shock mount to the shock? How are you positioning the mount to the body before torquing?

yes I am. I have had these shocks on my 16 and my 17. They have been clunk free until two days ago then it started on the right side.

Call Steeda. Lifetime warranty on the shocks.

yeah I am gonna it just struck me as odd. they have been on the car since 70 miles and I have a little over 4000 on it now. the mounts are over a month old and have never had issues. Honestly they were the last things I though would be giving issues.

I've had the shock and springs on for a few thousand miles, mounts for a few hundred. Something weird going on.

Agreed something hard question idoes everybody else's shocks have softer compression and I heard a rebound it's almost like being reversed valving from the PP shocks
