Changing the steering ratio?

You need to change the steering rack.
Or use a smaller steering wheel I guess?

The "Free Front Swaybar Mod" improved the steering feeling for me.

Its a simple as an alignment. Make sure your toe is 0 or a little toe-out if you like it twitchy. If you have a dead spot, you probably have toe-in up front. If the front toe is right, adding some front camber can help the front end grip, thats also possible for free by slotting the front strut.

Mods to stiffen the front end (free front sway mod is the cheapest, if you dont mind a little power drill work) and/or adjustable stiffer shocks would also help.

Blame it on the steering ratio, unfortunately nobody makes a different ratio rack. I don't know if the Gt350 rack will fit our cars but thats the only one that might. Alignment helps a little when set toe in, not toe out, like it was mentioned. Toe out will make the steering even more floaty. Upgraded suspension is the only fix for now.

GT350 steering rack has the same ratio, so im guessing its the same

The GT350 does use a different steering knuckle, however. This might provide quicker steering. The problem is that it is not compatible with the GT brakes and possibly other components.

No, toe out makes the steering feel quicker. toe in will make it track straighter and give you a dead zone.

Thanks for the input, I do alignments for living and most performance car owners ask for negative toe between -0.1 and -0.2 for better stability in straight line and under braking.
A normal passenger car would probably benefit from a little toe out, but i personally prefer -0.17 at the front of my car.

I agree for most passenger cars a slight toe in is probably best. Im running 0 toe personally.

For the OP, I would say he might want to have his alignment checked because it sounds like he might have more than typical toe in, and to maybe set it to 0 toe. I agree toe out is usually too twitchy and nervous for normal purposes
