I just canceled my order last week. Ordered on October 25th 2021 right when it went up to order.
Just tired of all the runaround from AC. All I get out of Lethal is them telling me Ac says to check back in a month or two.
That is about the jist I am hearing from others as well. Lethal won't commit to a particular place in line and AC won't give them any kind of ETA on the wing itself.

Anyone who has an order in with Lethal, really ought to reach out to them to figure out where they are and what their options are......

I’m sure my order timing/process is about the same as others:
25 Oct 21: Ordered wing with expected delivery of Jan 22
25 Oct: Later the same day from Lethal: “Anderson Composites reached out to let us know this item is out of stock with an estimated availability in 16-20 weeks.”
- This would be 7 Feb - 7 Mar timeframe.
21 Dec: Lethal says: “Anderson Composites reached out to let us know the Rear Wing has an estimated ship date in 12-16 weeks.”
27 Dec: I asked Lethal where I am in line. Their response: “Unfortunately they will not have that available at this time but please check back with us closer to the 12 week mark so we can get a more specific ship date for you.”
14 March 22: AC says: “This part is on back order due to high popularity. It takes almost a week to build one unit, we can see our production schedule 3 weeks at a time, your unit is not on the current build. Feel free to contact us in a few weeks for an update, we thank you for your patience.
14 March: I followed up with AC, asking where I am in line: “This is a tough part to make, we can only estimate until we can see a production schedule that will actually cover your order. We prefer not to offer any additional estimates until we have a unit available for a specific order.”
+++++++++
So best I can tell, Lethal has my money, AC doesn’t know when they will make it, and no one knows where I am in line.
- Pretty much sums up the situation for most of us.

Exactly, that is why I am asking anyone who has an order in to reach out to Lethal. AC is going to do whatever AC does and it seems that any of the early wings are being distributed to folks for best exposure. They ought to process the orders first come, first served. Everyone has a timestamp from when they placed their order (email order confirmation) and that really should be honored.

That was funny, lol

Of all people, you should get yours first. You were first to order and broke this story to us.

Don't take anything im saying as being directed to you.

Truck showed up.

To be brief, there was a hole in the side of the box. Probably took close to 10 minutes to cut open the box and a portion of the layers of packing that correlated to the deformed part of the box. Airfoil did not appear to be damaged in that spot. Driver left. Probably took another 10 minutes just to free the wing of everything and carefully set it down. Upon close inspection, there are 3 or 4 damaged areas. Ugh. All are issues with cracks in the top coating, a small chipped area, and the outside of one of the side panels looks to have been abraded with something.

I'll deal with it. Suggestion to AC...I would not ship these units with the uprights in place. I would bag the uprights separately.

I took a number of shots and I'll post everything up in the next day or so. I will say though, it's a good kit. The dogbones are first rate, the uprights do a damn good job of mirroring the factory ones, and the small hardware and instructions really complete the effort.

Well. That story sounds familiar. They will offer you a 10% discount to accept it as is or have you break out the circular saw, cut it in half, and send them photos for a refund.

Sorry Tob. FWIW, the cracks can be fixed, but it's not an easy job. Reference my wheel repair thread.

Best wishes.
Fixing cracks in thin wall composite layered weave is really not simple and usually not recommended.
The wheels are a full solid weave and far stronger than a thin wall lay-up of Kevlar pre-preg blanket. They act completely differently when damaged.
If the repair works GREAT. I strongly recommend you watch the areas repaired very closely for quite some time to ensure the cracks do not redevelop over time, temperature cycling and especially loaded usage of the wing (high speed track or street use).

As long as the weave isn't damaged, it can be relayered and made to look like new. It isn't easy, but certainly can be done. The bad part is that it is time consuming. When I see the photos and the subject area, that will be the point of decision.

Tom you seriously got to think about a side business. There is serious potential for niche industry repair work.

I am comfortable doing what I do. All of this is just a hobby. I once worked with composites and its just a carryover from another time in my life.
