How about something like this https://c2aero.com/heat-extractor-hood-vent/
He has other louvres if you want more to add or a different design.
He’s planning on going to Mustang Week and should have some on hand.

I have the Vicrez GT500 hood, it’s aluminum and I’m very happy with it. They have a spot in the hood for hood pins and come with fake ones to fill the void. I replaced them with real hood pins and they DO NOT lineup correctly, so they don’t do anything.

That looks good, nice and clean!

I went with the Cervini hood. I opted to have my local Ford body shop perform the install and paint job. They said the hood was a good fit straight from the box. The paint prep was straightforward and any of the fiberglass imperfections were easily resolved. They added a small shim at the hinges to keep everything uniform with the fenders and it looks like a factory fit. Also, the venting seems to be well positioned for centrifugal superchargers.

Looks great! Is the center vent section functional? Does it have a rain tray under it?

Blows me away that the Cervinis Hoods are heavier than stock.

Hey guys, so I ordered this hood a few weeks ago and according to the body shop, it was built incorrectly. Cervini agreed and sent me a new one. Today the body shop took off my old hood and fit the new one before painting and they said the lines don’t match up and the gaps are way off. DS550 yours looks amazing. I’ll attach two pictures so you guys could see. Let me know if this looks like something that’s normal because it’s an aftermarket hood or I should try to get another one. Thanks in advance.

You shouldn’t have to do this, but can your body guy reshape the driver and passenger side corners to make the character lines flow better and then do a blend job with paint? Maybe Cervini will refund you some cash to offset the cost of the bodywork.

I hate to see this because I’m wanting to purchase a pre-painted Cervini cowl hood for my Bullitt.

I've had my Cervini hood on for nearly a year now. I love it, all except for the extra weight. Yes, it's noticeably heavier than the stock aluminum hood. Cervini has a good hood shock kit that helps a lot. I manage an Auto Body shop so I ordered mine unpainted. I ultimately chose the Cervini hood because it does not require pins and retains the factory washer jets. And let's face it, it looks pretty bad ass!

I'm on the "left coast" and I was a little apprehensive about shipping a large fragile part cross-country. Surprisingly, it arrived on time, was well packaged and was undamaged.

I did however have a few issues with the product.

1. The rough edges were, well, rough. Took a bit to clean up and smooth out.
2. The center louver assembly was irregular, deformed and also pretty rough.
3. The hood shock kit they sent was for an F-150 truck.

I've seen reviews where people say the customer service at Cervini is not great. I'm happy to say, this was not my experience. They responded to my emails and were very helpful over the phone. Within a week I had another louver that was perfect, and the correct hood strut kit.

The fit of the hood itself was about 8.5 out of 10 right out of the box. I had to tweak my hood hinges a bit and adjusted the fenders to make things even. The only modification I had to do was add some shims to raise it in the rear so the lines match at the upper fender horns.

I spent the better part of a week smoothing out the rough edges and priming & blocking the entire hood before it was painted. All that extra prep work really paid off because the paint is absolutely glass. There are no waves in it at all. It looks like it could be a stock hood.

Are you sure you didn't receive a 15-17 hood by mistake?

I wonder what the max speed is that the Cervini hoods have been tested at? I really don’t want to run locks either. The only way I’d be open to installing locks is if the holes were pre-molded from the factory.

I've been on the track at 125+ and it didn't move at all.
