I applied Simonize on my Shelby and on my wife’s Trackhawk, it was a lot of work but the results were impressive!
steps:
1. Wash/dry
2. Polish
3. Clay bar
4. Polish
5. Apply Simonize - cross pattern - two layers
6. Dry
7. Apply one final layer of Simonize

done!

Both look great. Ceramic coatings are wonderful. My 17R had Cquartz finest applied in June of 2018 and with their soap and QD, the hydrophobic properties are almost as strong as day 1.

Thank you for the info, I was not sure how it hold up. I did pick up some ceramic quick detailer which is supposed to help maintain the coats.
My daily driver is also coated and stays clean even after driving in the rain. I am impressed with how well and how inexpensive it was.

Like most things, results may vary. The Cquartz that was applied to my car was their high end coating which has to be applied by a certified installer. Likely will have better bonding and durability than the off the shelf versions.

That being said the DIY ceramic kits are still very durable and theres no reason it shouldn't get their advertised rating. Keeping the car garaged will extend the life of the coatings.

Makes it a breeze to dry the cars. Some flooding from the hose and 5 minutes with the leaf blower and its 98% done
