I have searched the owners manual on this and find no answer. When playing a CD, what do these emblems do? When I touch them, nothing changes regarding the CD playing. I am talking about the ones right above the apps and settings iconss.

Thanks, and if I had given it more thought, the shape of them might have given me a clue. I hadn't even played a CD in years, and my other vehicles do not even have a player. So when I discovered the player in this car, my wife went to an out of the way storage shelf in the house and found a box of them we used to use. May not really use it much, but at least I want to be familiar with the functions.

I worked for Panasonic in 1982 and sold some of the first CD players ever sold in the United States. Damn I’m old! 🤭

Those "buttons" have the same functions no matter what outside source you are using, not just a CD. I have an old iPod plugged into the center console, and it will shuffle the entire playlist. Same for streaming from your phone.
To be honest, though, I'm not sure if the repeat function is for the whole play list or just the current song.

For long trips, I would load up a CD wallet with good road trip music albums.
Or borrow an audiobook from the library.
Really helps pass the time, especially if driving solo.

Yep first one is shuffle the other is repeating the same song. Glad to see someone using the CD player.

It can be for both I believe. Tap it once for the full playlist and then again to repeat a single song (a 1 should appear in the repeat graphic to indicate single song). At least that’s the way it worked when I had one and the way Apple Music and YouTube Music works
