Speaking of catch cans, is anyone running a Ford Performance one on the passenger side of their 18? I can not find any info on a Ford Performance catch can for the 18s.
I thought those were for GT350 not for GT? I'm running the UPR ones and it seems to be working pretty well.

I don't see why it wouldn't work (would probably have to take engine cover off though).

That was my thought as well but I've not had time to pull the cover off and look. I had one on my GT350 so I know how and where it mounts. I meant to take it off when I sold it but forgot. :frusty:

At first glance I don't think the mounting bracket will work on the 18.

First pic is the one that was on my GT350 which is the same for all 15-17 5.0s. The second pic is the 18. It does not look like the valve cover is the same with the same mounting points.

Are you running UPR on both passenger and driver sides?

They seem to fit fine, here's a install video from Bill at CJ Pony parts. I'm still stuck between UPR and RacerX going to pick one up before I drive the car home. Its about a 300 mile trip to my dealer

That video is for install of the passenger-side can! I still maintain that one should check if a drivers-side can will fit under the engine cover. BTW, RacerX unit does not fit nicely on the passenger side due to wire harness clearance issues. RacerX uses an additional petcock on the bottom which eats-up valuable space.

I think the JLT is hard to beat because of the price.
I was also worried about it just dangling there and possibly moving around, but it is very sturdy and tight, it's barely moveable even if I try to move it with my hands, and I'm confident that I don't think it would ever move

Doesn't anyone care ?

Ok ! I'll try one more time. I'm a 2000, 425+ Camaro muscle car driver with a catch can that I know doesn't allow any contaminants to escape back into engine.
Wife traded in her 2010 6 spd Dodge RT Classic, with a modified catch can for a 2018 Mustang GT. Still waiting for delivery.
A friend has 2017 Mustang GT with one of the above mentioned Ford specific floating catch cans. I suggested we install an in line canister to see what if anything escapes the catch can and into the secondary canister.
Contaminants did escaped the catch can and went into the secondary can.
I called the manufacturer and explained my finding. He asked which can catch can version I used. I said the floating one. Response was that there always is some fumes escaping, and I agreed, but I would have had better results if I used their better version. REALLY !
I suggested they run their own tests to see what escapes.
I know that there is a test on u tube of some one using a bottle to inject oil into their can and a competitors to show what escapes. I'm sorry, IMHO that isn't a valid test. Vapors / mist are what's sucked into a catch can not oil from an eye dropper.
When the wife's car arrives I'll install her modified Dodge catch can instead of one of these Ford specific cans, until they prove the effectiveness of their cans.
I'm through ranting, John

Hi There,

is anyone Running a JLT on the 2018 GT?
Besides that I am wondering if a Catch Can on the Coyote Gen 3 is as necessary as on the gen2 version ?
Just read that Ford improved a few Things like GDI on the nee Coyote.

Do the 2018 GT drivers have any results yet how much oil they catched so far after 500-1000 Miles?

Thx and best
Oli

I would check with UPR as to fitment on the driver's side. The '18 engine covers are longer...

Fit ment is great. No difference than the 15-17 for the can's mounting point. The can itseld with CSS is out of the way and looks fatory
