I ve sold twice to them. IT s so easy that it makes me hesitant to buy from them. So easy to dump a car there IMO.
I haven't sold to Carvana but friends and relatives have. They all said it was very easy and Carvana didn't check the vehicles very thoroughly. Makes me hesitant to buy from them as well.

I just bought a 2022 Mach 1 HP on Jan 10th through Carvana. I heard MANY horror stories while waiting on the car, It was delayed 3 times and they broke the splitter taking it off the truck...
Day of pickup I went over the car, they noted the damage and said it would be covered so I bought it.
Long story short. It was taken care of (over $2k for the repair and I didn't pay a cent) and I am happy with the purchase. It could have went smoother but in the end all is good.

Beautiful car!!!

They did the same thing to my splitter when delivering it. They did replace it at no cost.

I never purchased a car from them and personally I never would. Buying a car you can not inspect and test drive is beyond stupid to me. I'm sure they sell many good products but I'm not going to chance it.

I 100% understand this and partially agree. But refer to post 9 and 10 in this thread. Their refund policy is far better than any dealer.

When I bought my Mach 1 from them, I did my due diligence on the car. The best part was it took no more than 10 minutes to complete the entire transaction and I didn't have to play the "let me go talk to my sales manager" game or deal with any shady finance manager trying to sell me protective coating or a questionable 3rd party extended warranty. To me, that was worth the risk.

Would I buy just any car from them? No. It really is a case by case basis.

And....damn this car looked sexy as hell on their website. Looks even better on the track.

I literally can’t even imagine buying a used car site, unseen. I would imagine a lot of these car buying sites like Carvana or a dumping ground for people that have cars with problems only known to them at the time of sale and they just want to unload them. Unreal. I wouldn’t touch it with a 10 foot pole.
agreed that you have to be very careful buying sight unseen. not sure I would buy from carvana even with the return policy but I have bought and sold over a half dozen cars/wakeboats private party over the years with not many issues.
my current gt came from private party without seeing/driving. flew to abq, traded funds and drove it home. couldn't be happier.

I am extremely happy for anyone who bought a car sight unseen and is happy with it. I have a few rules, however, when buying a car. I will only buy a new car from a dealer, never a used one. I will only buy a car form an individual and he has to be the original owner. I will only buy a car from an original owner that lives in a nice house and neighborhood, as it shows that he had money to take car of it. Yes I limit myself to the available cars that me be out there and in great condition, but I believe this is outweighed by the fact that the chance of the car I buy is going to be much better than one purchased off Carvana, a dealer, or used car lot. I do not begrudge anyone who has a different philosophy, these are just the rules I live by. I have watched so many Youtube videos of people who have bought cars that have so many problems that I am just not willing to take a chance on buying a used car I have not driven and had inspected.

Earl of Stang Mode just bought a clean low mileage from them, and it’s on his channel.

But you can inspect and test before you agree to take it at delivery.

Perhaps you can test drive and inspect before you take delivery or pay but from reading about Carvana I did not see how it can be done. Some problems I found with them are:

While Carvana offers a 7-day "love it or return it" policy, some customers experience difficulties with the return process, including delays in receiving funds, issues with trade-in vehicle returns, and non-refundable shipping fees. Although many find the process easy, others report headaches with damaged or misrepresented vehicles.
Key issues and details regarding Carvana returns include:
  • Return Policy Limits: Returns are permitted within 7 days, but the vehicle must not be damaged, modified, or driven over 400 miles (additional miles cost $1 per mile).
  • Non-refundable Costs: Shipping charges are generally non-refundable.
  • Delayed Refunds: Refunds for the vehicle can take 10-15 business days to process.
  • Trade-in Complications: Some users have reported issues with getting their original trade-in vehicles back or receiving them in different condition.
  • Logistical Hurdles: Some customers have reported poor communication and delays in the pickup process when returning a vehicle.
Important to note: You can return or exchange up to three vehicles, but the third vehicle will not include the 7-day money-back guarantee.
