Car got a little smushed

got side swiped by a car leaving from a stop sign, impact was at about 5mph

my rental for the next 2 1/2 weeks , a nissan rogue, on the plus side found a dollar bill under the drivers seat, lol

Condolences - Mine goes in Tuesday for the same on passenger side. I was stationary in the aisle of a parking lot (nowhere to go) and some lady got in her car, threw it in reverse, backed right into me.

I would say I have 25% of the damage you have here and its $4k - new door/rework rear quarter/paint bumper to bumper. I would bet you'll get a whole new rear quarter welded in..

The other guy was in his work dodge 1500 ram pickup truck.

Yep, expensive repair but State Farm will cover it all expect for my $100 deductable.

Tow company damaged the underside of the front spoiler lip so they are going to replace that free of charge.

Sorry he took that literally! I would be heartbroken to see my baby smunched even a little like that. Plus not getting to drive it and instead having to drive some boring SUV...

Sorry about your car. I just went through this last November. If it was the other guy's fault though, his insurance should pay. You shouldn't owe a dime. You can also claim loss of use and diminished value, although the diminished value can be a painstaking ordeal. I'm still fighting that one.

Sorry to hear that! Hope the repairs go smoothly. Mine got smushed when it was parked at a dealer by someone who wasn't even backing up...just driving straight out of the parking lot. Scary when people can't even handle their cars at 5mph...
