Cant select drag mode

I have a 2017 gt350 and I'm able to select all of the different modes except for drag mode. When I select it I hear the exhaust open then it closes and I get the message that drag mode not available. What can be the problem?

There is a plug up by your airbox. Plug it back in. It disables drag mode for dyno purposes. It also disables a bunch of the “nannies”. That is one possible suspect.

Yea I'll unplug it and plug it back in to see if that fixes it bcuz it is still plugged in

Strange. I hit the drag mode button and next thing I knew I was wearing a skirt and heels. I must have missed something in the instruction manual.

I thought that only happened on cars with the "automatic tranny" option.

There is a process to start Drag Mode, in the owners manual. I think step one is have the car up to temp. Then I think it requires the car to be in gear. Or it requires the car not be in gear. I can't remember which.

Also, drag mode sucks. Basically works for a half second, then says "well I can't be bothered".

Yea I'm gonna look in the manual to see what it says. I never use it just was wondering why I couldn't.

It's either the trans or rear diff that has to be at a certain temperature to make it work. Drive the car around for 10 minutes or so and you should be able to use it then. Any time I've gotten this message it was 100% related to those two temps being low.
