Got my clear bra installed suntek ULTRA by a fantastic installer complete custom cut. Car looked better than new with the bra.

Drove it home 30 miles from the shop and got out to admire the great job he did and what is this?? Grease on the nose so i wipe it off and Bam the clear bra is has a small chunk in it. Here is a picture.

Anyways to patch it? I tried heating it and no luck.

That totally sucks. I am getting the same installed tomorrow. I'm hoping for better luck. I had a tree limb fall on my hood earlier last week.

Sorry to hear that OP. Would have to be something serious to chunk Xpel like that. But if it did happen should be covered under warranty. My guy would just take the piece off and put a new one on. Hoping Suntek and your installer will stand by the product.

Yeah this. Go back to the installer. I had a bubble in my Xpel after installation that didn't go away after about 2 weeks, went back and he fixed it, plus touched up a few other spots.

Warranty does not cover this. I asked my installer and he said if you want it replace I can give you 50% off.

Suntek warranty covers, yellowing and bubbling.

I will call suntek and hopefully they will help me out.

On the bright side, think about how it would have looked without the PPF when it got hit.

Metallic paint will never look great after chip repairs. At least this is fixable/replaceable.

Eh. It's a car. I got my front half wrapped with Suntek before my first track day in the R, and going through the kink at MO the car in front of me dropped a wheel and threw a big rock at me. Cut the PPV, chipped the paint, and left a small dent in the hood. Price of fun, I guess.

Did suntek cover it under warranty?

SHEET happens! LOL If you drive your car on track no PPF will save you. I will probably be replacing mine soon with either satin PPF or a wrap. it is getting funked up!! I also have suntek and I have submitted for a warranty claim on yellowing and peeling/bubbles.

Battle scar. I'd live with it.

Unless it's a show car or in a museum, these beautiful cars can't stay perfect. Heck, I have a couple of blemishes the Ford factory put on my GT350 when they made it!

I emailed the CA rep for suntek and he wanted the installer and what the installer said when I mentioned the issue.

I kind of begged him to cover it under warranty so will see what happens.
