Yeah...that’s about where I landed on the “how did this happen” side of things. Was nuts to get out in that kind of wind and road conditions, should’ve replaced tires at 5k miles, etc. Painful lessons to replay for sure.

Man that was tough to watch....sigh.

There was no rain. The tires had ~6k street miles on them at time of the accident. No burnouts or craziness. Heck it had just been to the dealer late November ~4k miles. Worst part I guess is that I had replacement tires in the basement for the next service appt. :(

Thanks Jimmy. I do not remember seeing them when I visited the salvage yard (wasn't conscious when they pulled me out). There was no side impact at all thought so maybe front impact alone would not set the sensors off?

Yes, and if you don't mind me saying please add 5k+ miles (of any kind) to that paranoia list right beside rain. I thought I was still relatively low miles on them at 6k with folks here seemed to be replacing at 8-10k. Could not have been more wrong. I actually never had issues in weather...
