Can not remove map light housing

I have done my parents cars and Lexus and Toyota make it the easiest. It's a breeze compared to Ford.

I honestly don’t understand why people pull the whole housing down when just taking off the lens is so much easier. Takes less than a minute per side if you know what you’re doing.

In my case when I tried to take the bulb out and put the new one in the entire socket disconnected from the housing and pushed up into it.

I had to pull down the housing to fix it.

Did this twice. Found it easier to take down the housing.

Does anyone happen to know the type of metal clips this dome light uses? I need a replacement.
