Camber settings

OK...excuse my ignorance here...but does that owners manual discuss the steps to adjust the camber? Is this something that can be easily adjusted in the garage with just a couple tools?

I've never tinkered with camber before. Didn't have to mess with it in the 1LE.

Not really a DIY thing. While it can be done by the experienced, you really need the machines to know all the settings are correct. Good luck.

How handy are you? It's doable with a good tape measure, string, jack stands, a weight, and a bit of patience. It's also much easier with a camber/caster tool. I use this one from Longacre. You'll also need camber plates (such as Vorshlag, Maximum Motorsports, etc.) or BMR's camber bolts.

All depends on the user. I adjusted mine the first time with string and a tape measure. I was bang on when I got the alignment checked later!

Depends on where you set it. -1.75 is the minimum I'd set for an experience track driver that wants to maintain a street friendly camber setting. -2 to -2.2 is a good compromise if you want to focus on track use and are OK compromising longevity of tires on the street. I would not drive -2.4 or more on street unless you're fine cording the inside of your tires way before the outside.

I installed vorshlag camber plates and ford performance springs, would love if someone can post step by step DIY old school tape, plumb bomb etc...the camber plates make it pretty easy to adjust.
