Ahhh apologies. So I'll say for cams just go comp stage 3. I'd run at least 13:1 CR.

For boost, e85, and PI, I would suggest about 11/1. For 91 I would say 10/1 or less.
do you think the predator cams would perform ok NA With 12-1 compression?
Make similar power to the voodoo but with maybe more torque?

Yes

These are small engines so none will make stump pulling low end torque. I've never run the predator cams but the specs are close to the comp cams stage 1 grind, so will probably shift the tq peak up a few hundred RPM

trying to avoid custom cams. Was hoping the gt500 predator cams would perform fine NA and then be there for when/if forced induction is added.
Why would you avoid custom cams? The predator cams wouldn’t perform as well as aftermarket NA cams. MMR and MHS use shorter duration and higher lift than Comp Cams does, so they idle better, have better low speed manners and you can lock them out and do away with the problematic cam phasers.

Yes it will work fine with that compression and I think it would perform within an inch of a voodoo.

Problematic cam phasers? Never had an issue.

mostly avoiding them due to $1800 expense.

my plans at least for now is to build a fox body swap 5.2 (because I have the engine already). Doing the cross plane predator crank conversion (because I have it And mostly to reduce any vibrations from the voodoo.)

not looking for max power. Just a nice street car with great street manners and make 500-550 with e85, tune, CAI and longtubes.
I know the voodoo can 500-525 fairly easy with those mods. I am thinking crossplane crank and predator cams should be able to do that as well.

Keep the cam phasers or you won't like it. Unless you like high strung motors that only make power above 4000 RPM.

Probably need a 4.56 gear or more depending on tire diameter.

After a little more consideration, I am thinking of running the ford cams used in the 5.2 aluminator / FP350S.

it seems those would be spec’s for the build I am thinking.
gt350 block
5.2 cross plane crank
12-1 compression
350 heads
Ford Racing M6550M52 cams
350 timing components
gt350 intake
1 7/8 longtubes
CAI
E85

this should put it north of 500 rwhp. Ideally 525-550

So basically a 5.2 Alluminator XS ?

basically
Using a gt350 intake can cobra jet.

really can’t find much in terms of power with longtubes and e85. I see whatdoes rates it with the cobra jet intake.

also can’t find much on L&M, MMR, Comp cams in NA form

most of forced induction which I can appreciate.

I’m trying to stay NA. Also trying to understand if it is worth doing a cross plane 5.2 with cams vs staying with the voodoo.
