I’m planning a 5.2 build using a crossplane crank, gt350 heads with rockers and followers.
setup will be NA at least for now. compression around 11-12 to 1.

I was thinking of using predator cams but not sure how they will perform in a NA setup.

looking for thoughts.

With the TiVVC they should work fine.

Doesn't Ford racing sell cams specifically for that, ie using GT350 heads on a coyote?

why Not do gt350 cams or custom cams like MMR or modular head shop?
from what I understand, the timing is different between the flat plane crank and cross plane crank

I think it’s a great idea! I’ll try to remember later to post the duration and lift of the gt500 cams. Are you planning forced induction at some point?

With a custom cam you have it ground to any firing order you’d like.
trying to avoid custom cams. Was hoping the gt500 predator cams would perform fine NA and then be there for when/if forced induction is added.

like all of us who want more power, forced induction will be an option at some point.

a Voodoo long block and a predator crank. Just need to figure out the cams.

let me know what you find on cam specs.
thanks for the help.

Gt500 intake cam duration is 270. The calibration doesn’t list the exhaust cam duration. Lift is .297 at the lobe and .564 at the valve.

For comparison, the gen3 coyote is 259 duration and .273 lobe lift (.557 valve).

Was hoping the gt500 predator cams
Won't work with a flat-plane crank. For cams just go comp stage 3. I'd run at least 13:1 CR.

You’d be basically building a cross-plane voodoo with a little less compression, potentially.

What fuel are you planning and who will be tuning?
I will run e85 or 91
