Anyone know if companies like JLT or PMAS have any CAIs on the way?? Seeing Lund take off the air filter seemed to gain like 30ish whp. So it definitely seems like it be a worth it mod.

You may wish to factor in upgrading (if needed) the heat exchanger to accommodate the increased air temps that will come along with the better airflow on an open element setup. Keep in mind that the increase is not based on normal driving conditions. While the improvements are VERY impressive, they under what I would refer to as "controlled lab conditions" and not normal street or track conditions.

Congrats 2020GT500 owners. Just let me know where your 08/09 or 13/14 GT500 unwanted trade ins are so I can upgrade to your unwanted scraps. After all one man's trash is another man's treasure. LOL!

The stock air filter is a cold air system, it is just not exposed in the engine bay. There is a fresh air intake on the drivers side front grill.

Keep in mind that the new GT500 is speed density and doesn't use a MAF. That's why the gains are so big by removing the lid and filter. It will be interesting to see what the aftermarket comes up with for intakes and how they'll compare to the factory intake with the lid and filter removed.

It can still benefit from larger filter/more flow, larger and smoother piping.

They probably have plans to do a CAI, but like most companies they need the cars 1st at their facility so they can do R&D. I wouldnt be surprised that aftermarket CAIs won't be available till Summer.

I remember aftermarket CAIs for the 2018+ GT took awhile to come out. I think JLT was one of the 1st come out, then K&N was one of the last to come out.

Yea I was hoping that companies like jlt would’ve been able to do measurements before the initial release. If I remember correctly they had their gt350 CAIs before most people got their cars.

According to the parts lists, the new GT500 air filter is the same as the GT350, which is the same as all previous GT500’s. I have a new oil-less air filter awaiting my car’s arrival...
