Well it sounds like it just comes down to personal preference and money.

A closed box (or stock intake) should help to keep IAT near ambient when driving slow.

Open box, if done correctly, can perform similar. Also can buy it for looks/sound.

I just received my GT grille so plan on working on cutting out the honeycomb this weekend. With GT grille I hope the Big Mouth works as advertised and isn't a waste of money.

Thanks for the help.

I purchased the MMR before running a stock box was "common knowledge". I thought about switching back, but the sound from mine can't be beat!

Is it me or does the GT350 CAI look exactly the same as the Roush CAI? Just with a different filter.

I own the Roush and agree they seem nearly identical.

They pretty much are all the same, except different filters and placement it seems. I'm not sure what innovative design one company has over the others, it's all pretty much exactly alike, and even the differences aren't going to bet you any huge numbers or sonething. Just looks and sound

The FP GT350 CAI is significantly cheaper at $250. They are pretty similar, but the GT350 still looks to have a more robust seal design on the top.

I'm considering at least an intercooler upgrade.. that summer heat soak was no joke. For like the past 3 months the only time I've enjoyed driving my car at all has been at night, and even then there was heat soak.. Lol.

When I take my car in for service again I'm gonna go stock box and look into GT Grill (which I wanted for looks but if it helps with temps too then great) and a SR Performance style intercooler.

Did the guy who designed this for you guys use to work at AIRAID?
It's made by Airaid/K&N and Livernois has licensed it.

The SR Performance intercooler is just a rebranded Mishimoto. If you want a stock location replacement, like the Mishi or MAP, I'd highly suggest the CP-e. You can still order it through AM too, if that's something you're looking at. Ron@cp-e can always get you hooked up too!

Yep, this is correct. Livernois told us that they made some changes to their specific model vs the standard Airaid model, but we never found out what those changes, if any, were. Even so, it should still be a unit that performs very well.

A note: the Mishimoto intercooler is made in China.
I will end it there before I rant.

With the mods I have, a CAI might be the next addition. Before this happens I would like to see a CAI dyno results comparison. A tech rep. at Livernois stated a CAI is good for around 6 HP. Heck, 3 of those HP could be the plus or minus of the dyno itself. He also said their CAI and the JLT "had about the same results". Like the post said above, maybe the money is better spent on a suspension mod, or even a braking mod.
