Not a bad price. Is $6800 what comes with your package? Rods and pistions? Etc etc
11.1 or 10.1 or 9.5.1 compression. Not sure what compression I want to go with. What compression would you recommend?E85 is hard to find here so I'll be on 93 until I'm ready to race... then I'll throw in some E85 in the tank

Ahhh, no. The bare blocks are the same, gen 3 5.2s. ā€œShortblocksā€ are not, predator is 9.5:1 compression (imma puke lol) while the gt350 is 12:1 (I believe).
According to Ford and several builders the bare blocks are not the same. I didnā€™t mention shortblock. The oil squirters are completely different locations as well.
Predator bare block has more metal and bracing.

I would not go lower then stock compression.

I was thinking maybe 10:1. I'll have to run more boost but less room for error or leave it at 11:1 I don't want to run 12 tho. Aluminator blocks and the new gt500 have lower compression then the gen 2 and gen 3 motors. I don't trust 93 so I'll probably have it tuned to where the car won't rev past 5000 on 93 and when tuned for E... rev it to 7500

I think you are overthinking this.
go with 11.1 because itā€™s been proven to be a great combo with or without boost. 93 will do just fine as long as you arenā€™t over 700whp. If you ever remove boost from the car it will be a horrible turd with low compression. The key is less boost and more power. That keeps things working easier. These engines are incredibly efficient compared to the 60s and 70s where you wanted lower Comp with boost.

I have a crack in my ringlands in pistons 8 and 6 couple guys said it was because of 93.. but it was probably my fault..doing rolls back to back..ringlands probably got hot and cracked. Catch can smoking..got a compression done a year ago. Car still runs no check engine light no smoke from the tail pipes. I keep running through 02 sensors tho... I don't know if that's related to having low compression or cracked ringlands

Then why isnā€™t there a predator block on the Ford site for sale?

If they cracked a sleeve that would be a reason for the sleeve to be replaced but to just replace them every 3 years. There needs to be a reason and I donā€™t know of any reason why you would need to every 3 years. If they donā€™t get damaged they can last 100 years
They seem to be conflating "refresh" with replace.

they are the same castings, directl
Yes
The predator block also has minor clearancing for the rods as the big end of the stock predator rod is larger than coyote/voodoo rods.

No.
sounds like someone got charged $100 for no reason šŸ˜‚. The casting is exactly the same.

I guess you just need to know how to find it.

8) Differences between this (GT350) and p/n: M-6010-M52B (Predator) are as follows:

Predator includes dowels, GT350 doesn't (see #1, above ^).

Predator has oil squirters in the valley and are fed off the main oil feed.

GT350 has squirters in the main journals.

Block off plates are p/n: M-6868-M50

Oil squirters are p/n: AA5Z-6K868-A (I'm running squirters as my car sees nearly 100% street use).

The Predator has an extra machining step for more rod clearance, for the oem Predator rod.

The GT350 didn't require any rod clearancing for use with the rod I chose (see below).
