I heard from Jeff at Ford Service that my car is in Benicia, CA!!!
I'll call my dealer in a bit for when he thinks it will get put on a truck and get to him in Sunnyvale.
What we really need is a Heinz Ketchup emoticon. (If you don't get it, don't sweat it... folks over 40 probably will... or those subjected to watch their parents TV shows in the 80s.)

I did have to surrender to patience after hearing my car got across the country to CA in 7 days. THen was told Friday morning that it would take 3-5 days to get from Benicia to Sunnyvale... a 65 mile journey. So I guess the 'normal two week journey' includes sittin' still for days some places! I was not about to ask my dealer for any special favors. I do not want to use ANY goodwill up in case I need it due to issues with the car. SO I may get a call tomorrow or Weds.

We had a great week end down at Aptos for some good friend's wedding. I had forgotten how fun, different and beautiful the beach community and scenery was. I told the couple and the other friend where we stayed Sat. night: "When we get the new convertible, we'll just have to come visit here more often!"No problem. Just looking out for a Nor Cal 'stang fan.

I'm in the process of setting up my first major road trip. Driving to SF, making a left at the Golden Gate and heading down Highway 1 all the way to San Diego, with pit stops in Monterey, Santa Barbara, and Long Beach.We had a great week end down at Aptos for some good friend's wedding. Sounds like an excellent trip. How many days will you be on the road? My wife has said we need to take some coastal trips with the new convertible! So we will be hitting the coast as well, but probably not much further south than San Simeon. We may make a northern coastal trip first. Who knows.
