If they got their cars today, I doubt they were on the same hold as we are. Mine had finished on 2/9 and had been awaiting shipment. So if the release just happened, it would take a week or so (depending on location). Unless they live closer to the plant, then I suppose it's possible to get it that soon.

My EDD updated today so things are definitely starting to move. Now showing 3/12 so although the two week wait will be tough at least there is a light at the end of this tunnel.

Now if I can learn how to track the trains I can really drive myself bonkers!!

Blend was 2/6 and it moved originally into "awaiting shipment" on 2/9

Somebody call guiness book of world records.
Maybe we all in this Build week can share a record...People who ordered a Mustang, who had to wait the longest time to get their car....HA!
it would NOT be the dumbest category they have had for sure......

Decided not to cancel my order (for now) despite the fact that my dealer knows nothing and Rachel hasn't replied to the PM I sent this morning. I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, want this car so I'm willing to wait a little longer. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I HATE FORD, but I love Mustangs.

And just for a recap, I ordered my car on 11/26 and due to my dealer being deceitful my car wasn't built until 2/6. My last EDD was 2/23. Once that ran out it went blank like many others.

Stang,
How was your dealer deceitful? Lied, maybe by omission that his allocation was piss poor, lied about an estimated delivery time or just did not place the order right away?

Your first guess was right. When I placed my order he said he wouldn't know if he had allocation until "next month" which was December. .. but at the time only a few days away. What he neglected to tell me was he had not asked for any Mustang allocation for December.

He let it slip later they never sold Mustangs. Mostly they sold trucks. That, combined with the fact that I understand how the system works because I used to order trucks from Ford for the company I worked for, tells me he knew he wouldn't get any allocation for Mustangs in December.

In hindsight, I should've canceled my my order once I had figured it out, but I was tired of the "process" (most salesmen are idiots) and didn't want to have to start over.

Now I'm forced to wait because I still can't find the car I want on a dealer's lot. Plus, one way or another, the exact car I want is coming to this dealer whether I buy it or not. I'd hate knowing there was an exact copy of my car near by. Yeah, that's weird. I know.

Sorry for the long post. I just had to get all that off my chest. Oh and by the way I still HATE Ford, but I still love Mustangs.

I decided to try something different this morning..i grabbed my kids magic 8 ball and asked it if my car would ship today and...it said..."outlook not so good"

Seems to be just as accurate as my dealer and COTUS

I just received a call this morning from the "regional customer service manager" for ford dealerships in the Houston area.
My inquiry concerning delivery of my car was forwarded to her yesterday.
Here is what she told me.....She said that there are two possible issues regarding the "hold" on our cars. One is that there is a Longshoreman strike going on right now, and it could be affecting getting parts. the other issue, she says, is that there is a shortage of rail cars to ship our cars out.
I then asked her if there were any "quality control" issues that she was aware of, and she said no. So, according to her, it is not a problem with "bad builds", but it is a problem with either getting parts, or getting them shipped out.
That is all the info she had for the moment, but she said any further info, she would contact me ASAP.
That's it. I hope that sheds some light on things. But, who knows....everyone is getting different info, so who is to say what the real deal is???
