The worst about this all is how embarrassing this is for me. My peers and co-workers know I'm getting a new Mustang and constantly inquire about it. When I tell them I legit I have no clue when I'm getting my car they look at me like I'm crazy then proceed to rub my nose in crap for getting a Ford.

Some even think I'm full of it and making this whole thing up.
All the sweeter when it shows up;)

I know exactly what you mean, haha. Everyone I know keeps asking me where my Mustang is that I've talked a lot about. Then I have to explain to them the whole story...

My dealer called me this morning to apologize basically for the fiasco even after I cancelled. I guess they thought I was sort of making up things at first and just wanting out of the order until their ordering guy finally got to speak to someone higher up about what was going on. There was no explanation given to me beyond they were sorry for how everything happened and offered to try and locate me a car. We had already tried to get multiple dealers to dealer trade so it was sort of a moot point and I bought a car yesterday. At least they recognized the issue though and were very nice about trying to help.

This. I got asked this three times today by different people. I now just respond with, "Lots of production delays." It's much easier. Lol. :headbonk:

I gave up on my order yesterday. I drove two hours to Autonation Ford in Houston to buy one off the lot. Everything I wanted and more. It had just arrived at the dealership and was still in the back of the lot so it was like it was meant for me like my order would have been. Good luck with your cars everyone. I hope everything works out for the best.

mine got to the railyard here on Friday, dealer got it late Monday and I picked her up yesterday. Build date was 02/03. It is a race red base GT with PP and ceramic interior, so not sure if any of your orders were similar but got held for QC. I have looked her over a few times and panel alignment etc looks perfect, have not noticed any problems so far, although the MT-82 is noisy as hell.

hopefully everyone's cars start to show up soon. Out of habit first thing I did when I woke up was check cotus, still says in transit, so you never know.

Also, my dealer told me x-pan price went down $10 since I ordered in December, so hopefully that is a little bit of good news for everyone waiting :D

Hey guys , rachel emailed me this morning, although my vehicle is still on hold with another 4,000 , they are starting to ship them out. I say we hang in there , its only February, March doesn't have the best weather either !

Did she actually say 4,000 or you just stating a large number for effect?

I can't believe they build 4,000 Mustangs in a week.

Nope , she actually told me this , also my dealer in Detroit who is one of the top in Michigan just sent me this from inside news in flatrock (I got a response this morning apparently there is a heat shield that is defective and is being replaced before leaving the factory- the car will not make it this week and to order another unit will take longer- they are saying we should have it by mid March time frame but it could be sooner - a truck came this morning with 2 units ) lets not forget people , they caint just keep these cars taking up space , they need to move them out sooner or later !

Not to stir the pot of unconfirmed info, but if that were true I'd say it's one of the best outcomes we could hope for. Something like a heat shield although a major concern, would be a simple swap fix with a new part and would have no overall impact on the quality of our cars. I'm just going to pretend it's true because it will make me feel better.
