Just thinking out loud here. Has anyone tried just replacing rear shocks only with FRPP shocks and the cradle lock out kit on a PP1 car yet. It seems like for a mild street car it could do the trick of basically tightening up the rear? I would have tried it myself but didn't want to lose the discount of buying the whole kit together.

My experience autocrossing a street class PP1 long enough to be considered an idiot is that the car is best behaved with soft rear shocks and stiff front shocks. (I’m using Koni adjustables). Anything that tightens up the rear seems to put the car into an early slide. The same can be said for swaybars. If you want the rear to stick to the ground, add front swaybar. All this advice assumes you have a correct alignment with about -1.8 rear camber and a hair rear toe-in.

edit: my rear suspension is a bit bouncy over expansion joints, but tightening that up makes the car turn worse.

I may end up trying it after all. I'm seriously considering cancelling my order and just getting the shocks instead of the whole FP track pack. Plus I feel I was scammed when ordering. I don't want to bash any vendors being a new guy, but the reason I went with said vendor was they were the only one that didn't say out of stock. It wasn't until after my order (A week later) I saw on their website item is on back order. Two e-mails and a phone call later with no response I'm not real impressed with them at all. Needless to say, I won't be ordering from them again.

With stock springs the Bilstein B6 shocks work very well. Bilstein designed these on the stock spring.

Steeda has a shock that plays well with the 800# rear spring rate.

Would you guys recommend different shock mounts for the rear when going to aftermarket dampers?

As luck would have it. Just as I talk about cancelling it, my Ford track pack arrived today. I also got the BMR 762 along with the alignment sleeves for the sub frame. Also got the CB 010. Now the fun begins....
