I just purchased a 2020 Mustang GT PP1.
I got Brembos on the front but does not appear on the rear.
Searched on the internet regarding the Pp1 but it states it comes with Brembo not being specific if they are on the rears. Don’t see a Brembo label and the definitely don’t look like Brembo ? Sorry for the stupid question.. I just purchased and used to own a Corvette so I pretty stupid on this car .. lol

The rears are just a standard Mustang brake, with a PP1 specific pad.

PP only adds front Brembos. PP and Non-PP have the same rear brakes.

Any idea on why Ford didn’t pony up for Brembos on the rear ? Are the ones on rear any good?

1. Cost.
2. No real real reason to do it, a larger brake really wouldn't do anything other than look cool.

The GT350s and GT500s have them on the rears.... they have incredible braking power...but $$

Technically I think the master cylinder is also different.

Brake balance is correct with the front brembos and the pressure bias and pads they're using. They didn't need bigger rear calipers just to detune them with brake pressure bias or pads. Using the same rear calipers keeps costs down.

Only the Shelbys have brembos on both ends, and the fronts are different larger calipers and larger rotors.

The rear brakes don't do nearly the amount of work the fronts do when braking (because the car's weight is shifted forward)

3. if you got the black wheels you have my condolences cause they need to be cleaned like every 150 miles lol
Lol, I've just gotten used to wiping the wheels off every few drives, so I don't have to wash the car every few drives 🤣

I feel you! I ended up getting my wheels ceramic coated to help with the brake dust coming off easier! But definitely a wipe off at least every week 😭

I switched to Z26 brake pads and no issues with dust at all.
I had the z26 pads on my last mustang. I can't remember the last time I washed those wheels before I sold it! I just needed the extra stopping power and heat tolerance!

The car is built to a price point and most of the braking is done by the front
