The correct place to tap into is the front of the manifold where the primary vacuum source is so you have a true reading. Also, on cars that run a check valve on the primary vacuum line, you just need to plumb in between the manifold and the check valve to stay on the pressure side and you'll be all set. UPR

My question is for those of us who currently have the dual valve can setup, what are our options if we decide to delete the vortech intake elbow and filter for a inlet screen? Other than buying the breather system can the current can be reused in any way?

You run it to the intake manifold or the intake piping and you use a check valve

The UPR Dual Valve catch can kit is great for street driven cars that are going to keep using the Supercharger air inlet and filter. The catch can has a connection to the air inlet tube so that when the engine is under boost, the positive pressure in the intake will close the check valve in the vacuum hose, and keep boost pressure from entering the catch can and then add to crankcase pressure. The hose connected from the catch can to the air inlet is used to take advantage of the high velocity air being pulled in by the supercharger to keep air moving through the catch can even when in boost.
Since the centrifugal setups use a blow through MAF sensor in the intercooler piping which is after the connection to the intake then aren't you pulling unmetered air into the engine when the intake manifold is under vaccum?

I doubt it's a significant amount but would probably show up on the fuel trims.

both do the same thing
one catches the vapor and one lets it go all over your engine bay :p

I run a UPR in the GT but have run breathers in plenty of old chevys as well as air pumps
