When I picked up my car from the shop yesterday there was this young guy walking around my car and just talking to himself about how hot it is and it's just beautiful. He didn't see me come up from behind but I passed him to look at my car as well with my spoiler and side scoops now installed. We chatted a bit then he got into his new Infiniti and drove away. Have to say it was a really cool feeling and gave me more confidence that I had made the right aesthetic decision lol( not that I need approval, but it's still nice )

What kind of side scoops are those?

No, the air won't just rip them off.

Yep, lol. I've had mine on for a few weeks and have been driving on a daily basis. I thought they would come off too but apparently they've been holding up very well.

Won't fake scoops create more drag since the air doesn't go anywhere?
The scoops are close to the vehicle so drag is most likely minimal. They look good and set the car off nicely IMO. Especially with the spoiler.

I think there is a lot of drag. Ford removed the tiny little factory spoiler on PP cars just for aerodynamics, imagine those big scoops now...

clearly for looks

Since they aren't functional of course they are for looks. Roush has similar ones as well that are non functional. They both "look" good so that's what I'm going for.

My fellow sixer, that is not an acceptable answer. People cant buy a mustang for looks, if you own a mustang its got to be FAST FAST FAST. You HAVE to race around town from red light to red light. Buying the car solely because you think its good looking and enjoying just cosmetic mods on such a non deserving engine is not allowed

Just so you know that I personally don't feel this way but in my travels it's been the exact opposite. I find I'm defending the EB quite often unless the persons under 30 . I prefer the V6 for me, but I never disparage the EB engine. They're ALL Mustangs!

People who actually know the cars and familiar with performance respect the EB. Maybe not as much as the 5.0, but they know the potential is there.

I'm not going to knock the six's potential, but the general public looks at them like rental/high school girl cars. I've see a few rip tens, but they just have that reputation.

As mentioned before, this is my 10th Mustang and the first 9 have had V-8s...the last two having Coyote motors. My present 2015 Cyclone engined vert was bought because I wanted a very low priced S550 convertible. SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE...this vert isn't some slug. The 300HP Cyclone winds up fast and is surprisingly SMOOTH. There have been absolutely no problems whatsoever. This Ingot Silver convertible with my custom Purple and Gold leathers evokes positive comments every time I drive it. My previous 2013 Race Red GT never hardly ever was complimented. This new S550 body style is MESMERIZING to all who see it. Mustangers know the difference in the engines, but the general public really don't know or care. My present cyclone Pony is quicker than all my previous V-8s except the last two Coyotes. One of my friends who owns an older Saleen 4.6 Mustang was commenting on how beautiful my new Mustang is, when suddenly he notices that it's not a GT. "OMG have you lost your mind"? A V-6!? "WTF" Damn'Man, you've always had V-8s. Were you drunk when you bought this?" So I let him go on and on...then I finally asked him if he wanted to go pull a quick 1/4 mile run... His 4.6 against my 3.7...his answer was..."Oh Hell No those sixes are too quick". EXACTLY.

And here I thought Ford didn't put a spoiler on PP cars because they figured the people buying them were going to put their own spoiler on, and won't have to worry about factory holes.
