My fiance and I are currently house shopping. Yesterday we were driving thru a nice, but busy neighborhood. It was a lovely day outside and there were quite a few people out doing random things. If i had a dollar for every stare, thumbs up and waves i received, we would have a down payment for the house already lol.

(we already have a down payment, just saying)

Just stop for some coffee at Starbucks, was sitting down inside admiring my car from the window while a kid around 12 was checking out my car, he went all around the car very slowly, he only walked away when his mom call him like 3 times, the car always gets attention, this is just one of many stories, love it.

I often get people shouting going WOOOO and such things whenever I accelerate down a block.
They're probably trying to make an engine sound with their mouths since your Eco probably made them wonder why it was so quiet ;)

As an Eco owner I found it funny, so when does yours go back to Avis?
Haha, I had it coming ;)
I do like the Ecoboost though, had one in my Fiesta :D

With a map intake, trust me, the EB is not quiet at all.

No I know, I apologize if it was taken the wrong way, I'm not an "Engine war" dude, I was just giving Wesleyeng some crap ;)
Sorry again to all of you EB owners, the S550 is a beauty, and amazing to drive no matter what engine it has... (As long as it's not a Prius engine/batteries lol)

No I got that it was a joke, I was just saying. Because well the EB stock is super quiet. Way too quiet for me. So I fixed that. :)

It's been awhile, but had "The Pace" happen this morning, for maybe a mile (seemed a long time). A white Toyota SUV was hovering next to me before finally leaving me behind. A little disconcerting when the sun is not totally up yet and the highway is still fairly empty.

Unrelated...About a week ago I saw another GT, same road, same lonely time of morning. A fairly rare sighting...there don't seem to be that many of those around here. Didn't try to wave hello to him...I might've gotten the finger :headbonk:

Had another funny situation earlier while I was simply going to McDonald's about 5 minutes down the road. As I was approaching the red light and getting ready to make a right turn, a lady two lanes to the left slowed down about 50ft before the cars at the red light and started staring my car down.

As I pulled up, this was her face:

I tried to be nice and wave at her, but she didn't wave back. Maybe she just didn't see it through my dark tint or something. I almost thought she was an undercover cop slowing down, waiting for me to catch up, so they can pull me over.

I get the fact that a woman might be apprehensive of another vehicle shadowing her vehicle on a lonely road or early in the morning. But I cannot understand how one GT driver would be hesitant to wave to another GT driver because :love:they fear being flipped off. I wave to all Mustangers and they wave back. I've been driving Mustangs for all these 50 years and I've never been flipped off by another Mustang driver. But I've been shown the one-fingered salute by a few juvenile Camaro drivers. Maybe drivers here in the South are more courteous.
