Nothing crazy, but definitely get some looks every now and then.

I stop at the same gas station pretty much every day after work on my way home. A guy was out there on his bike with his kids in front of the store. On my way out he asked me "how I liked my ride". Told him I was diggin' it and can't stop drivin' the thing. He went on saying how he never owned anything that nice and then proceeded to point towards his kids haha as to say, "yeah, I had kids so that dream kind of died".

Few people at work also stopped me and asked if that was my Mustang in the parking lot, and complimented it on how it was "quite an upgrade" from my last car (Chevy Cruze lol)

It is a great looking car and gets lots of attention but not even close to what my Boss 302 got.

Ive had a few funny ones! this has happened 3 times to me since December. I first get wow that's a really nice car... "thanks" I reply then the next question "what is it?" I laugh and reply "its the new mustang". Then i get "oh... huh... I don't like mustangs". I had a girl say that and then walk off haha. the other two were pretty cool and talked to me for a bit. Anybody have that happen to them yet?

At a gas station I had a guy come up to me with his phone in hand and ask me to take a picture of him with my car. It was pretty funny I was totally caught off guard it was the first week I had my car and didn't realize the attention it would get. I get lots of thumbs up and compliments constantly.

I had a pretty good one over the weekend. The wife and I were cruising when we hear "AAAAWWWWGHHHH!!! No WAY!! That's a brand new f***ing Mustang!". We look over and there's this guy going crazy on the sidewalk with his two kids; his wife was just walking away with her face in her hands.

I've had mild versions of that, usually a more subtle "Ive never really been into mustangs but wow" from the chevy fan boys. I dunno, I think a true automotive ebthusiast does not discriminate from anything good. My current stable and previous cars are proof of my belief.

I get lots of looks, thumbs up, and pictures taken. One compliment I got was from a local Chevy Boy.... I am talking a diehard IROC driving bow tie loving guy. He proceeded to tell me how sharp it was (I thought WOW the new Stang has finally done it). Our bow tie boys stay true to GM.. He complimented on how nice the interior asked me to start it and give him a few revs. I gladly done what he asked... He said Ford finally got the Mustang right! I thought this new platform is a game changer..... Then his final compliment put me over the top... He said..... Looks like they took some pages out of Chevrolets book... Made it look like the new Camaro and the motor sounded like a LS motor... The bad part is he was serious... I now know why someone would want to kill... For a second I thought... I should do the world a favor and kill him.... Instead, I politely said... Yeah, Ford is trying..

I nearly crashed on my way to work today when I saw a 15(Only the second I have ever seen here.) was going down the highway in the other direction. Okay, maybe I didn't almost crash, but I was checking it out as best I could in my mirrors.

Reading all these stories makes me both excited and scared. Excited because the S550 will be even more exotic here (and I will be one of, if not the first to drive one here.) Scared, because it may also attract the not so nice (jealous) people when it's parked somewhere.

I worry about that also. My friend's car got keyed when it was brand new, and it was just a low level civic. Thankfully I can park the car in a personnel parking lot at work. I'm glad I have barely seen any new ones, gonna make it that much more fun owning one. That being said, a lot of my neighbors have 200k+ cars. So no one is likely to notice. Someone down the street has an MP4-12c.

This is what I'm worried about, too. I imagine insurance wont be pretty. I may even install one of those black-box trackers and pay the yearly fee to find it via GPS 24/7.

Muscle cars attract a lot of attention in Europe. Here in the UK, an Aston Martin or Bentley drives past and no one even looks up from their phones and coffee. An S197 Mustang pulls up at the lights at suddenly there are 20 cameras pointed at it.
