I have always felt that the brakes on my 2004 a6 wagon were very plan. So I figured it was about time to try something different. Here is a step by step on how I put some bling on the old wagon. I also used this method on the rear calipers on my GT
paint the stock caliper flat black.
I sanded the "Brembo" logo off ans painted the covers silver. This is the rear caliper, and used the "med" sized cover. Measure where to trim the cover , mark it and then trim.
Mark the "large front cover as well. Remember that you will want the cover to sit as low as possible on the front of the caliper so that it will look proper.
Use a dremel and trim the cover.
This is the front cover. I had to trim a algle cut to allow the cover to sit as low as I wanted.
The process was been completed. And yes you will have to go back to the caliper to test fit, trim and repeat til you like the fit.
Add a set of ebay caliper decals if you like
I clear coated the decal and caliper with a clearcoat.
Check fit the cover one last time and look where to apply the Silicone RTV.
Front installed. I allowed about 4 hours to dry.
Rear installed
Front complete
