How did it go?
Unfortunately with two kids running around I didn't get to it yet. Just bought springs so I'm hoping to do the springs and clippers at the same time.

Looks nice! I've used por-15 but that stuff is super thin/runny

I would recommend using foam brushes other than the supplied paintbrush, it will go on smoother. If you can, removing the calipers will make painting them a lot easier. Wait 20 min in between coats. Last two IS350s I had, I painted the calipers with G2 paint

I want to paint my brake calipers myself.

I have 4 jack stands and the neighbors hydraulic lift jack, is there any way that I can get the whole car up on all four stands at the same time or I am going have do the fronts day 1 and then the backs day 2?

Also how much would it cost if I had someone powder coat all 4 brake calipers?

Most everyone puts their cars up on jack stands with zero issues. If you use G2, you have to do all of your calipers the same day. If not, the paint will not be usable after a about 8hrs or so, maybe less, as it has the hardening agent in it.

Powdercoating costs can range from $150-$450 depending on who, what and where they are located. Plus you need downtime for the turnaround of this process.

Put together this step by step video on how to paint your calipers as well as apply caliper decals.
Thanks for your video and pictures, I painted mine & used the same decals:

They are barely visible with these wheels, but I do love them :)
thanks!

I second this.
I actually have temporarily painted them with plastidip and a flex coat clearcoat. I wanted to see how I like the look before going powder coat.

Thanks Guys!!

Just a little update: The paint is holding up just as well as the day I applied it. the decals are also holding up just fine even though I did not hit them with a clear coat. Loving the look and I get so many comment on them.

Word of advice: Its pretty obvious, but should be mentioned that you want to be careful removing the wheels from the car and putting them back on. they can chip the paint if you hit them hard enough with the rim.
