Im going to be doing a two day track event at Road America soon. I want to change my front brake pads since I don't know if they will make it through one day. They are the original pads as far as I know. I have a brand new set of OEM Ford pads to put on. My question is, do I bed these pads in like I've done on other cars, and how you guys have done this? What speeds and how many cycles? The rotors are still good as is.

Don't need to if they are the same as stock.

Honestly I kind of stopped bedding even with pads from different MFGs. Get on the track, take it easy a session and go hard on the brakes in a couple zones, call it a day. Never had an issue.

I recall I got lucky and had a conversation with the prez/owner of GLoc brakes. Was helping them with a fitment thing on the GS-1 for the 350. We had a few good conversations and such. When I had the right pads installed, I was trying to get all the right details about bedding in their pads and bla bla bla. To this day, I still recall his instructions for bedding in the pads…”just drive the damn car!”

The key part to brake bedding is not stopping fully after hard braking, ie not allowing the hot pad to stick against the hot rotor. But guess what? Isn't that the same as track driving?

So yeah, just drive normal on the street and get on it on track.

BTW I run OEM GT350 pads on track, nothing more exotic. I run PowerPoint low dust pads for the street.
